My BIL's brother and his wife live in front of our house. They have been TTC #1 for 9 yrs now and had given up and moved on to adoption. They had tried everything, even IVF multiple times before deciding to adopt...And yeah, you guessed it! THEY'RE PREGNANT! They are both 38 and finally concieved without MA after all that time!!! They are on cloud 9 and I am sooooooo happy for them, they really deserve it! Plus, they had the option of putting the adoption process on hold, so they did. They figure it's a good idea in case they misscarry or even if they decide to adopt a brother or sister later on!

I hope that story brings a little glimmer of hope to everyone here!

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
 IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

hope yes, but praying it doesn't take 9 years!!!!! i guess the moral of the story is stop TRYING! i hear it all the time, so there must be some truth to them. congrats to them, that is wonderful news!!

IVF Schedule:

3/2 - start BC
3/18 - mock transfer and sonohystogram
3/22 - baseline bw and us
3/25 - 4/4 - stimming
4/5 - Lupron trigger
4/7 - Retrieval (12 eggs retrieved - 9 fertilized)
4/13 - Transfered 1 perfect day 6 hatching blast
4/22 - Officially Pregnant! hCG - 53.7
4/25 - hCG - 196
4/28 - hCG - 847
5/2 - hCG - 2526
8/1 - We're having a little boy!!!! EDD 12/29/11

That is great. There are 9 years between my SIL and my DH (and my MIL had a miscarriage between them) and there are almost 9 years between me and my sister (though my mom wasn't trying).
