okay here is where you can post gossip on celebrity's you find interesting or annoying...

i'm going to start this with asking, does anyone know the story about Jon and Kate from Jon & Kate plus eight???? i'm seeing all over the tabloids about his getting caught cheating and i'm not sure if it's true or not. Anyone tell me what happened? thanks

I watch TMZ every night, so here's what I gather from following them there...

Jon is seen around with women off and on, and Kate is rumored to be seeing her bodyguard who is also one of the producers or something from the show BUT I also saw footage of that guy talking to Jon when the cameras for their show weren't rolling. TMZ seems to think it's all an act to get more people tunning in because if he is supposed to be ''the other man'', then Jon seems a bit too nice with him for the moment. I also found out recently that Kate dreams of having her own talk show, so maybe that's another reason they want more publicity...so I'm not sure the split is real yet! But I don't really follow Jon and Kate Plus 8 so I can't tell you anything more than what I see on TMZ!

I got a people magazine and read the story and this is how that story goes:

Jon was 22 when he married Kate (24) and they were young. They had kids early on and he never got to experience going out, so he is basically didn't get the partying out of him and so he's going out to clubs to relive some of the times he missed after he settled down and had a family.

Kate says she doesn't know where the relationship will be going but they make a good living off of the Jon & Kate plus eight show and so in order for her to take care of her family....the show must go on. She also said Jon gets his feelings hurt because she has always made more money than him and that she is now bringing in more $$ with her public speakings, published books, and book signings/tours.

Kate says that Jon seems very unhappy in their relationship and that she has tried everything she could to fix it, but nothing seems good enough. For example, Jon needs a career outside of the Jon & Kate show, so she tells him to get a parttime job or volunteer time - but he doesn't do it. Jon says that he needs help with the kids when she is gone on book tours - Kate hires help, but it is not good enough. Jon complains about her doing public speaking and being gone - Kate wants Jon to go with her and speak also - but Jon refuses and says that public speaking is not his thing.

I have also heard on celebrity TV that TLC has been known to say things for publicity reasons, so I too am wondering how much of this is a publicity stunt. Jon just doesn't seem like the cheating kind.

I don't believe it. I mean, yes they obviously have some relationship issues, but I don't think they are cheating on each other or that they are splitting. I did some research online the other night (as good as that is) and found out that the bodyguard and his wife are friends of Jon and Kate. I watched the daily re-run of The Insider (they don't play it during the day here anymore because the Doctors took over their time slot) last night and they had a body language expert on and said that they are just going through the motions, but we will see.

And according to last season - Jon was working. He is an IT for some company there and they moved so that they would be closer to his work. Maybe he lost his job, I don't know but I was under the impression he was working.

Their new season starts next week I think - so I am going to make sure to watch that. I doubt anything will be said but I am going to see how the interaction between the two is going.
