Hi! I'm a member of the TTC #1 board but i thought i'd introduce myself here as well. For those who don't know me i'm Krista (21) and DH is Jimmy (23). This is our 6th cycle TTC our first. I'm currently 6 DPO and really hoping this is our cycle, but am not getting my hopes up since i never thought it would take us this long to get pregnant. I've been charting since cycle 1 and do pretty much everything else there is such as temping, using OPKs, preseed, Checking CM, CP, taking robitussin, and probably even more i can't think of at the moment. lol. I'm convinced that six months is not too long to still be able to concieve on our own, however there is a little voice inside me that wonders if something could be off. I'm not sure how long it will take me until i decide to see a doctor. How long are you all planning on waiting or have you already taken that step?
I really look forward to getting to know everyone here (the ones i don't already know)!!

Welcome! I hope your stay here is short and sweet. Good Luck!
I am Christina (26) DH is Tony (29) and we have a son (AJ - will be 3 in August). Our son was conceived when NTNP. This is month 18 TTC #2 and I made an appt to see my OB at 8 months of trying. We have done tests and tried clomid and more tests.

Hi Krista. My Dr. did a FSH test after 6 months of trying. She wouldn't refer me to a specialist until we'd been actively TTC for over a year (because my cycles are so regular). Since it can take healthy couples up to a year to conceive, many Drs. won't do anything until you are past that point. If you have a specific fear I would call your Dr. to discuss it further. Good luck!

Hi Krista! I'm Lisa (26) and DH is Marc (30). We have been TTC our 1st naturally since July of last year and I just got my referal to have more testing done by an OBGYN last week so I'm just waiting for her call. My doc wanted us to wait a year too, but it's been almost a year and my last cycle was 83 days, so we decided my referal couldn't wait any longer. As you probably already know, concieving naturally can take some couples a really long time even if they are happy and healthy (I know of many people who tried naturally for years before succeeding!), so try not to worry too much, but discussing your options with your doc could be worth it. Whatever you decide, good luck and welcome to the board!

Hi Krista, welcome to our group!!!! this little group is awesome. It's been kinda quiet lately due to the holiday.... I'm sorry you are here, because it is taking you a bit longer, but not sorry to have you here!!
I'm Lynda and i'm TTC #4 and the final baby for my family. I have had 2 m/c's in the last year. we have been ttc for 17 cycles - yikes!!! Dr's typically won't do any kind of testing till you have been trying for a year! sometimes you can find a dr. who will do it a bit earlier. I wish you the best in your ttc journey!!!!

Hi Krista
I'm Kelly (28) and my DH is 34 and we are TTC #1. We are in the midst of the 2WW of our 6th cycle. I thought I was out a couple of days ago because my temp dropped but its gone back up so we'll see.
I have my annual pap in July so I'll talk to my Doc then but I'm assuming since everything seems pretty normal with my cycles I'll wait the year if I need to see anyone else.
I hope your time here is short!
