What is a favorite summer memory? Seriously, I don't remember anything from the summers in my childhood that I would call a favorite.

That being said - my first summer in Texas (I was 18 and living with DBF now DH and we had a blast - movies, eating out, hanging out, etc). Best summer of my life!

I have sooo many! When I was little, my Mom was a teacher too so she had summers off. She loved to tan and go to the beach and I tagged along all the time, but my sister was older, so she would often choose to take off with her friends. I have great memories of summers at the beach and such with my Mom...and I still spend most of my summer with her as she is retired now and has the nicest pool in her backyard, 30 minutes from my house, so I'm there all the time in the summer!

I would have to say it was one of the summers that I spent with my Grandma. She had a neighbor with a daughter my age and we all lived out in the country. I became friends with the girl and her mother knew how to sew and made us little pocahantus outfits complete with mochasuns I'm sure those are not spelled right. anyways where we lived at the time they had the lightening bugs, so we got mason jars and punched holes in the top and the whole summer we spent catching the lightening bugs at dusk, and playing out in the horse pastures. Oh the innocence!!!!

AH you guys have some great summer memories...I have tons of great memories, but some of the best include summers on the farm with my grandparents and horses....I love horses and spent many summers riding hours each day! I also loved playing softball and spending time at the lake or riding bike with my friends!
