First of all, I'm sorry for being such a pain and asking so many questions!! But, I have yet ANOTHER one!

I am on CD16. I took my first round of clomid 50 mg, from CD5 - CD9.
I've been taking the OPK strips, and nothing until today - I got my first line. It's not as dark as the control line, but def a good visible line. I know it has to be as dark or darker to be a positive.

Here are my questions.
When exactly am I suppose to BD??
WE did yesterday afternoon - so when should I again? I'm suddenly so scared of missing my chance.
I'd like to just cover my bases and BD every day for the next 3 days!!! But, I heard that's not good for sperm count - is that really true?? Does it really matter if you do it every day?
Also, how long does sperm last? I've heard anywhere from 3 - 5 days - but recently I just read it only lasts a few hours if your CM isn't ideal?

Thanks in advance - I APPRECIATE everyone's advice!!

I think the other ladies covered it, but I wanted to wish you luck!

I'm also wondering if you did another OPK today and if the line is a bit darker...

Thanks girls.

Well, I'm really frustrated and confused now - because the next day I used the OPK test - I didn't get a line. Well, eventually a line showed up, but it was barely visible.

I also had quite severe cramping, then had some pink spotting, and redish CM.

Is it possible that I could have been surging monday night (even though my OPK wasn't dark enough to give me a positive) -and the reason it was negative the next day was because I was ovulating??

I am no OPK expert but from what I've been told a dark line that isn't as dark as the control line or darker is still a negative. OPKs are weird things and they are either negative or a positive, a almost positive is a straight negative from what I understand. I have gotten a dark line that is almost as dark as the control but not quite several times when I know from bloodwork that I didn't ovulate at all. I know, how frustrating. I use the OPKs starting on CD12 until I get a positive and then a negative. My doctor wants me to bd CD12-18 every other day. I take clomid on CD3-7. You are "suppose" to ovulate 5-10 days after your last pill. I'm not sure what your cramping was, I hope you did ovulate and that was it.
Good luck!!!!!
