Ladies, I need your advice. First let me tell you about my Friday evening. So I got home from the gym around 6 PM and went to clean up. After I went to the bathroom I wiped and realized I was bleeding and passing some clots. This completely freaked me out as I just had my period 2 weeks ago and got a +OPK ealier that day. I decided to go to an urget care place around the corner just to make sure nothing was wrong (I had never had mid cycle bleeding before ). Anyway, the MD I saw was a total joke. He was basically like nothing is wrong with you but then proceeded to tell me about his daughter's best friend who had vaginal bleeding and found out she had a huge tumor on one of her tubes and had to get that and one ovaries removed. Then he goes "Women come in here all the time complaining of unusal bleeding and find out they are pregnant but sorry you're not."
Then he asks me whether I think the bleeding is uterine or cervical. So, I'm thinking *** you're the doctor how the hell am I supposed to know. He asked me if I wanted him to take a look. By this point I just want to get the hell out of there so I told him no and I would follow up with my regulator OBGYN. As we (my DH was with me) leave the exam room he starts going on about why he doesn't know why I'm menstrating when I am supposed to be ovulating. There are all of these people around including other patients who can definetly hear everything he is saying. Apparently on top of being a total idiot this guy has never heard of HIPAA.

If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading! I just had to get that out. Anywho, have any of you ever had mid cycle bleeding that is heavier then spotting? I passed a few more clots last night but the bleeding has pretty much stopped.

Wow that guy was rude! I would have just walked out before finishing anything. I've heard of mid cycle bleeding but have never heard of it being that heavy so i'm not sure. I'm glad that it stopped though.

What a jerk!!! I've gone to a male ob/gyn who was completely incompetent.....

I don't know anything about midcycle bleeding.....could something have messed up your body such as antibiotics or something that made your period come early? Just a speculation.

I hope your regular doctor can give you some answers.

I'm sorry you got such a jerk for a doctor Kelly. I can't answer your question about mid-cycle bleeding either. I hope you can see your OB soon and get some answers!

I am so sorry that happened to you!!! What a stupid jerk of a doctor! I would have freaked and gave him a piece of my mind! (well, I say that but probably the situation would have thrown me so far off I wouldn't have known what to say really). I used to have bleeding at weird times when I was on BCP that weren't well regulated for my needs a few years back, but nothing like what you are describing. Have you been under a lot of stress lately or anything like that that could have thrown you a hormonal curve ball? I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope you can get answers from your regular doctor.

I'm not sure about the mid-cycle bleeding either.. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that jerk on top of what your body is putting you through.

I'd definitely be reporting him though... there is NO need for that kind of behavior.

I think I would have reported that!

That being said - I used to have super short cycles - about 2.5-3 weeks long with really bad pain when I was 17. They never figured out what was wrong (ran some test) and ended up putting me on the pill.

Let us know what your OB says!

This sometimes happens to me mid-cycle, but only after I go running. I don't know why this happens....

I'm so sorry you stumbled upon such a jerk. It's a good thing you didn't let him take it any further. I think he's just an incompetent freak!

oh hun, how horrible!!!! you should have slapped him!!! i'm sorry for your awful experience with urgent care. they throw newer dr's on weekends in urgent care, so he was probably newer, but that's no excuse. HUGS

I had what you are having happen, happen to me once a couple of years ago. My dr. told me it can happen sometimes and if it happens again, i was to call her. it never happened again for me! if i were you, i'd keep BDing till she shows again (end of your cycle) or NOT!!!! (bfp) G/L

Thanks for listening to me rant!!

I talked to my OBGYN this morning and she said she doesn't worry too much about one cycle only if it is something that happens regularly. She said to let her know if it happens again. Its just so frustrating when things like this happen and there is no good reason!

Anyway, I am totally confused by my temps so far this month and not sure if I've Oed or not. I going to be out of town tonight so no BDing until Tuesday. Hopefully I'm not already out. .....when did I get so pessimistic??
