So I have a long drive to work in the morning, and I started thinking. I need something to get my mind off TTC a little and to motivate me in another direction. I have also been thinking lately that I need to get my weight back on track as I put on a good 15 lbs since I got married last summer and I definitly want to get that under control and not put on another 15 lbs. I will be on vacation at the end of the week until september 1st, so I will have time to make healthy meals and exercise more. Ì'd like to have a support group to keep me motivated and to celebrate our weight loss successes together (instead of feeling down about our TTC woes for once!). Anyone interested? I decided to start with a 5 lbs goal. I would like to lose 5 lbs by my anniversary which is the 4th of July. I'm starting today! Let me know who's in!

we can do this!! we can do it.. and that is the best thing to do is to set yourself goals.. even if you have to do 5lb goal at a time.. i need to lose a lot more then just 15lbs.. so i've been doing 10lb goals.. I have already reached my "10lb goal" 2 times. Almost 3 times.. and the best time to weigh in is in the morning.. No clothes..it helps to keep a chart.. I know your not suppost to weigh in everyday.. but i do.. if the numbers go up.. even a few ozs..it makes me work harder the that day.. then it helps me to stay motivated and determened to stay on track.. b/c i am working so hard to lose the weight.. i dont want to put it back on..
drink a full glass of water as soon as you get up after you weigh in and before you have break fast..
another important thing to do is watch how much bread you eat..and check sodium in everything..
good treats for a summer treat is sherbet and the frozen ice pops.. the big bags you can buy for $3 at the store and freash fruit..i will be writing a blog in the new few days a few good diet but healthy meals.. i will let you girls know.

I'm psyched! I ate well yesterday, so gonna try to keep that going today. And like you said Jade, breads (all carbs for me) have to be cut down, that's my biggest struggle, I love pasta and bread and all those good things!
I'm also going to try my best to get in lots of snacks and small meals instead of lagre meals, it's supposed to be better for you and helps shrink your stomach so you feel like eating less.

I am in!!! I have been working slowly on this but have gained back all I lost again. I started working out again this week and will continue to do so 4-5 times a week. Eating healthy is a challenge right as I am not cooking the meals, but that should get better soon.
My goal for now is to have lost 7 pounds by July 4th. I am not even going to mention what that would make me weigh, but lets just say way too much!

Today wasn't so great...we had a little wine and cheese after school with chips, dips and all that good stuff! But I did stay reasonable and din't eat more than 1 cookie as a sweet, but still. Plus Friday I will be having a few drinks at our staff party, what a week to start a diet! But I had lost 2 lbs since Sunday when I weighed this morning, I just hope I won't do too much damage before next Sunday.
I also want to join a gym again or get to walking and hiking outdoors or something. I can't wait to be off work...2 more days to go!

I don't know how well I will do the next week - hubby is out of town so it is going to be a lot of convenience foods (tonight is frozen pizza and a salad for me). And I snack when I am stressed/sad as well as having AF and I have ALL of it this week.

ok.. so.. im almost to my 30lb goal.. i have 3 more lbs to go!! i was also proud of myself for mot going over board last night.. we went out to eat supper at out back and i wanted a big steak and a loaded baked potatoe.. but i got the grilled chicken and a salad and then we went to the move after and i split gummy bears with gracie.. we didn't even get popcorn..
and Lisa.. its ok to go overboard sometimes.. you actually need the fat then your body works harder to burn the extra off.. do really good the next few days and you will see.. you'll be surprised..dont feel bad b/c you ate not so good.. i do it too.. but you just have to limit your junk days.. not have 2 days in a row..

I totaly agree with you Jade! I'm the type of person who ends up binge eating if I deprive myself too much on a day to day basis, so instead, if I have a craving for something I have a little bit right away so I don't go overboard a week later when it's still haunting me! I want a healthy diet I can stay on as long as I need to, so slow and steady will hopefully win the race! I'm gonna get right back on the healthy eating this morning. And way to go on almost reaching your 30 lb mark! That's fabulous!
