Hi there. My doc called today and said that since i'm not ovulating but i dont have PCOS, the next step is a HSG test to check my tubes for blockage and to have DH do his semen test. I was really hoping just for a presription for Clomid. Is this the same order your doc went it or did they just give you the Clomid?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Aw, I'm sorry that you're not ovulating! But I'm sooooo glad you don't have PCOS! I know that a lot of docs do what yours is doing. SA is so easy to test, and giving you Clomid if you have a blockage wouldn't do much good. Of course, other docs give Clomid immediately because if there IS no blockage, it seems to be a quick fix.

Can you ask your doc is he would be willing just to prescribe Clomid for a couple of months to see if that does anything for you THEN go through with the HSG and SA?

Good luck with this--I know that it's been a long haul for you and I'm sure that you're just ready to get the show on the road already!!!
