I like whatever I can afford. I am not a huge fan of the Gymboree boys stuff, but the girls stuff is cute. I like Gap, Carters, and some The Children's Place - but the price stops me a lot.

I really have only bought for friends (a few things for myself), but I do love Carters. We have an outlet about 5 minutes form my house. They always have great sales there too... upwards of 70% off sometimes!
Target has some cute stuff too!

I like Old Navy. Good quality, it's cute, and cheap I do shop everywhere else but that's where I mainly shop at. My DD likes Ross and Marshalls.

What don't you like about Gymboree???

I've always liked their blankets and onsie's and such. I use to buy my nephew stuff from there all the time and then my sil told me they didn't like their clothes.

I like pottery barn kids.

I don't like their prices (I am lucky if I spend $15 on a pair of MY pants - I am not going to spend that plus some on a pair of kids pants that is going to get stained, possibly torn, quickly out grown, etc).
Their stuff looks too "big kids" to me - I don't want my kid to look like a mini 16 yr old to me (honestly - this is mostly the boy's outfits they put together for ~ $70 each). Their boy baby stuff is better, but they still have the "16 yr old" outfits for outrageous prices
I also don't like the way they layer some stuff - not for Texas - in my hometown in NY it would be different. And the few times I have given the store a chance in my mall it hasn't changed my opinion.
The Gymboree stuff we have was all free and it is none of the stuff I dislike and all Texas appropriate. The Gymboree sweaters and other heavy stuff lives in boxes for the one cold day we are out in the winter.

Oh, and I like the Target stuff too - The some of the circo brand stuff lasts longer than others. AJ has been in the same shorts for 2 years in a row. I also like Osh Kosh when we can get it at a discount store (Ross, Marshalls, TJ Max)

I've actually never come across anything that was too expensive....but I'm a tight-wad, so everything I buy is usually onsale! Edit: I guess I don't really have a reason to go in and check out all their stuff since I'm childless at the moment....I'll probably notice that later on
