Well it is official... we are getting help to get pregnant! DH goes Friday for the S/A (which has been quite delayed, but WILL be happening Friday), I go Tuesday at 8 AM for my HSG and I will be starting Clomid 50mg on CD 5-9, so in 2 more days I start the Clomid. I hope hope hope this is all it takes. I did cave in and buy the First Response fertility test and took that this morning and passed, not sure how reliable they are, but it made me feel a little better.
I do have a question for those who have taken Clomid, I got the generic, because it was $50 for Clomid or $9 for the generic. Have you guys used actual Clomid or the generic and do you think there is a difference or does the generic work ok? I really debated just paying the $50, but in the end went with the generic. Also, my mom told me, she had to take Clomid to conceive me and one of my sisters, that she had horrible IPS, but conceived the first time she took it both times she was ttc. Not that I don't have horribly deceptive IPS every cycle, but what can I expect as far as the IPS, I am going to write everything off as Clomid including any triphasic charts or dips/spikes that may look promising! but I was wondering what you guys have experienced while taking it.

Good for you! I hope that this is just what it takes for you to get your BFP!
I haven't taken Clomid yet, but my Dr said that when it's time, he'll put me on the generic of the Clomid. He said that it's the same thing, just a whole lot cheaper! Hope that helps!

Good for you Aimee! I'm glad that you're taking charge of your fertility (so to speak). I can't answer your Clomid questions, but the generic should be identical to the name brand.
Good luck!

Congrats!!!!
I've only taken the Generic and it worked both times. There are some side effects that go along with it. These are the ones that I experienced.... hot flashes, acne, bloating, cramping for majority of the month, tiredness, and moodiness. HAving said all of that....I will be starting back on it this next cycle and I would gladly deal with all of the above for the outcome of a healthy baby.
I hope that you have great success with it. I can't wait to see your BFP@!!!!

Good Luck and may you get Blessed with a little bundle soon. I am also getting DH to do a S/A next month if this cycle is out.
I took the home fertility test and passed too. We have a male version we will do next week after my O time.....

I'm glad you have a plan in action!! I, too, only took the generic- they should be the same thing though so that's what I would do.
Good luck- I can't wait to hear great results from you!!
