Hi everyone! My name is Barb and I am 39 yrs old and have been remarried for 2yrs. I was previously married for 15yrs to the same man and had 4 children with him.. they are now ages 16,18,19,21. I was on a low dose birth control pill for a very short time (less than a year in my 20's) to help with an ovarian cyst that I had .. but other than that, I have not used any birth control besides "timing".

Recently, I actually thought that I was having some pre-menopausal symptoms. (ie; REALLY moody exactly 10 days before each AF,, just like clock work) Sooo.. after putting my family through complete misery for several (read; SEVERAL) months, I went to Walmart and looked into some herbal supplements to try to help balance things. I've never been into herbs .. so I didnt have the slightest idea as to what to look for. But .. as I was scanning over the menopausal supplements.. I spotted one that said it would relieve Night Sweats and Hot Flashes.. (which I had neither) but that it would also help balance mood swings. SO.. I decided that even though I didnt have ALL of the symptoms listed, it was herbal and it couldnt hurt to try it! So .. I bought ESTROVEN EXTRA STRENGTH and started taking it right away. My poor family just cant do anything right every 2wks before AF Well, after taking it for about 2 1/2 to 3wks.. To my UTTER amazement I was pg! AFTER 16 years! Even after my divorce I was engaged and sexually active (TMI) with my then fiance (and well .. maybe a few others after that ) I didnt use any birth control at all for all of those years because I was evidently "done" having babies! But .. even though I recently suffered a M/C .. I would BET money that the herbal supplement DID help balance my hormones enough to become pg so quickly after starting them.

I called ESTROVEN and told them my story and they, of course, were surprised... but .. I really believe that I would not have gotten pg to begin with if I hadnt been taking it. I stopped taking it right away after I found out that I was pg .. not sure why.. probably wouldnt have hurt anything... but even though I m/c, my OB/GYN said that the baby was perfectly formed and they saw no abnormalities at all .. accept for no hb ..

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you incase it may inspire someone out there. Even if it was a complete coincidence.. what could it hurt and who knows... I am going to begin re-taking the ESTROVEN ASAP as we are going to try to conceive right away again.

Sorry about your miscarriage. I have always used the "timing" method myself, except for a brief time of taking the pill to supposedly help with my PMS symptoms (it didn't).

That is interesting about the estroven. Does it increase your estrogen levels?

I conceived a surprise baby at age 41, after not using any BC for years. Everything went fine. I had had all sorts of tests and bloodwork done in my 30's (had 3 babies in my 20's), but nothing was ever found to be wrong with me. I suspected my DH had had a borderline issue, but we never found out.

I get SEVERE PMS myself, but, I have read that that may be because of too MUCH estrogen, and too little progestereone. Does the estroven help with progesterone imbalances, also?

You know.. all it says it that it helps to balance your hormones naturally. It's herbal hormonal balancing blend consists of; Green Tea extract, Date Seed extract, Zizyphus spinosa, Cinnamon Twig extract, Galangal Root extract, and
Magnolia Bark extract.
It also is high in vitamins .. including folic acid. I was thinking that I had too high of a level of Estrogen myself and probably low on Progesterone.. and I believe that the Estroven has helped balance it all. I cant help but wonder if I would have continued to take it after I found out that I was pg if I wouldn't have m/c??
