My biggest thing is the exact opposite. When we told people that we were first trying they'd say "what are you NUTS?!!" So I stopped telling people. I don't tell people anymore.

I know! I hate it when someone tells me, oh, when you stop trying, that's when it'll happen. Or, Just relax. Because clearly I can just push a little button on my hip and forget about the stress and the mental pain from not being able to conceive, and just relax!

I'm right there with you ladies. Everyone tells us to stop trying so hard. Easy for them that got pregnant right away or without even trying at all! GRRRRR!!!!!!

I'm right there with you....even my doctor says...."well, you just have to relax and keep your hopes up. you can't get too stressed out or worked up" OMG! I could choke him! Seriously, how can I not have stress in my life? And ya', if I had a switch on my back that could shut off the stress and anxiety ttc unsuccessfully can cause, then I would! Hello!!!
Anyway, they mean no offense by their comments. I'm just trying to quit talking about it but since I've been feeling depressed I seem to cry all the time so I've got my friends and family even more worried about me.
AHHHHGGGG!!!!

I get that one too. I'm 'young', but my DD is 2 and is only growing up faster! She needs a playmate!

I know! It is so frustrating when ppl say things like that. Especially if they have no idea how much it hurts! I have friends who say "owell, there's always next month"..or "it'll happen when the time is right" etc. I know they mean well, but it just makes me feel worse. Glad I'm not the only one this happens to.

I hate it when people tell you to stop trying. Ok, #1 if your trying to have a baby how do you stop trying?? Or why would you stop trying? People are so stupid and I truly don't think they think about other peoples feelings.

Oh, these all get me FUMING!!! We didn't tell anyone because before we tried, his mom and sisters had responded to his "she can't have kids" with, "It'll happen when it happens." What part of my having medical problems did they not understand? When we *finally* told everyone about this pregnancy, we then got, "Are you sure you're ready?" Oh, you're right, we're not. Let's make the stork take it back.
These are the more tactful comments. I'm working hard to block out the others.
