Hi ladies,

I posted this on my journal on TTC#1, but forgot to update you here too!!

On Monday, I had an appointment at a fertility clinic as I've been experiencing short LPs. The appointment went SUPER WELL! I LOVE the doctor!!

First of all - he made me feel comfortable about being there. He told me that 10 months is a pretty long time (it FEELS like forever)

He agreed that it sounds like I have a short LP. Our plan is a whole she-bang of tests. I had 9 viles of blood taken Monday - that is, before I fainted! (I'm a big wuss - I'm ok, it's just in my head!), there's still 5 more but we'll get them later. If I don't get my BFP this cycle on my own, then on CD1 I call the office and we do a cycle of Cycle Monitoring.

Here's how it works: (very much like Lee Ann's IUI cycle - but without the IUI part)
- Call the office on CD1
- CD3 go for blood & u/s. They call me later that day to give me results.
- Based on CD3 tests, I go back so they can monitor me daily until I O. They measure the follies, estrogen & LH.
- One week after O, I go back and they check my Progesterone levels
- Also - between CD5 & 10, I go in for a SHG.

Somewhere in that, DH gets to come in and do his own bloodwork as well as SA.

Our follow-up appointment is set up for September 18th.

I'm SUPER exciting about this! Feeling so positive!

I hope this is what you needed to get your BFP! BTW - did you mean HSG?

It's a Sonohysterogram (SHG)....i dunno if there's a difference or if they are the same thing? It says in my paperwork that it is done without the use of x-rays, x-ray dye or an anesthetic.

Thanks so much!! I hope it all works out!
