Xposted from my journal..

Rough Night to say the least.

The pain was getting progressively worse last night, and the heating pad was no longer helping. I ended up taking pain meds, which didn't seem to be helping. We watched a little tv then headed to bed. I was hunched over brushing my teeth and could no longer stand up straight because of the pain I was in. I laid in bed, squished into the smallest ball I could wrap myself into, and just bawled my eyes out. DH just held me and kept saying he wished he could do something. It was like I didn't even have the surgery, like no endo was removed, and like things got worse. I thought after the surgery this would be a thing of the past. I'm so anxious to go to the post-op on Wednesday. I am really curious to see what my surgeon says, and how he reacts to my pain. Jon and I have concluded that he mustn't had been able to remove much of the endo, as it is so severe in there, and might disrupt our chances of conceiving if there is scar tissue left behind, etc., just like he had mentioned on my small intestine. I was really hoping this AF would be different. My flow has been pretty heavy too, although I hardly ever mark "H" on my chart. I'm so sad. I'm sitting here at work with a heating pad under my desk warming my belly area just hoping it will start letting up. I took 600mg of Motrin before I left to come to work, and it's not kicked in yet. That was an hour and a half ago. Maybe this is why my doctor mentioned IVF, I don't know. I am so glad my appointment is in 3 days. I need some answers and a plan, and quick.

HUGS Jackie! I'm so sorry. Did they say something about this cycle being harder because it was right after surgery? I'm hoping it's just your body shedding what was left. I'm praying all goes well at your post op appt. Good luck hun!

No- I didn't get to talk much to my surgeon, although he did say before the surgery that it may take a month or two for my cycles to straighten out. Nothing about the pain still being so terrible. I'll be sure to bring it up Wednesday, believe me. It feels 100% the same as the other cycles. I'll keep everyone posted of course after Wednesday's appointment.

Thank you, ladies. I hate SO much to complain and whine about this, but it's just so awful. I really thought this would be DONE, at least for a few months while we ttc.

Thanks, Cris. I can surely use the prayers!!

I am feeling a bit better tonight, thank Goodness. I have spaced out my meds throughout the day so that I can take a Vicodin tonight to help me sleep. Hopefully I'll get a good night's sleep tonight. I'm about to head upstairs and go spend some time with my heating pad.

I hope that you're feeling better today. I was hoping that you wouldn't get AF pain after the surgery. It will be interesting to see what they say at your f/u appt.

Thanks, Kimberley. I am feeling a lot better today. Granted, I had a Percocet to help me sleep last night, and took a prescription Motrin this morning before work- I was still so sore. I felt good until about 3pm (which is good) and then I took another prescription Motrin. I also used the heating pad at work for about an hour and a half today. So far, I feel pretty good- just strong lower back pains at the moment, which I always have after AF because of the endo.

I hope tomorrow goes well- I'm anxious and scared all at once!
