I want to relocate to Texas!!

My uncle has told me about how great it is to live in Texas..And He also was telling me how in Austin and other areas have GREAT IT Jobs!! and we can make a lot more money.. and the price of living is cheaper.. the school ratings are very high.. and I LOVE Texas I have always loved it since I went to visit.. I just know that we will be better off with a better job for DH ..better schools for the kids.. Especially since DD will be starting Kendergarden next fall..The housing market is HOT over there.. and we could get a lot more for the money over there.. DH said we will move if he can find a good job.. I want to go in Oct. to look at apartments to live in once we move (I know we just moved into this apartment) but if we find DH a job and I find a place for us to live.. I want to start saving up money for us to make the big move to relocate from Wilmington NC to Austin Texas!! Its my dream!! I want to have that as my 'nest' for my kids to call 'home' and I want to raise my babies there.. I want to be able to buy our first home there..and finish with moving around every other year.. There are always jobs out there.. (jobs DH would be able to do..IT/Computer based jobs) It's hard to explan the feeling.. but I have this naggin inside me that it's the right thing to do!! If in the next few months or so and DH tells me we can move I will just put the TTC off for a while (if not PG before then) then once we would get moved and DH's new job will have better health coverage for him and his family..BUT meanwhile.. this is all months and months away.. so it's all good for now.. so We are still in the TTC train.. and never know we mingt have our baby #2 before we move.. but I hope a pray by this time next year we will be packing up to make out BIG move to TEXAS!!!!!

Texas is a pretty great place. I moved here 8 years ago and didn't really look back. Good Luck!

Girl.. if we get our butts to texas i am not looking back just firward.. i have been wanting to move to texas for many years now.. and it's been my dream!!

Yea..he told me if he is able to find a job we are going... so I am praying he finds the job.. My best friends dad has been working at Dell Inc. for 9 years in Austin and I think he will be able to help him out. I want this is work out

I'm a native Texan....it's hot here, but you'll have plenty to do in Austin! I frequent Austin several times a year for my job.

LOL! to the previous Post. We honestly don't go to Austin that often. We don't know many people there and my hubby is an Aggie.

well i know how hot it is there in summer.. and i do not mind the hot.. i love hot weather!

I love the hot too. Born and raised in NY does that to a girl. The heat is different up in Austin compared to where I live. Me, I walk outside and instantly start sweating in the dead of summer.
