I'm thinking about trying some herbal suppliments to maybe improve my fertility.

Anyone use/recommend anything?

I wish I could help, but other than fertilitea that I haven't drank in almost a year - I haven't used herbal supplements.

I've done some googling and I came up a lot with:

Red Clover (which I haven't been able to find yet)
Evening Primrose (found some at walmart)
Vitex (not supposed to use after ovulation so I'll hold off on this one since I'm Oing any day now)
Dong Quai (ditto about not using after ovulation)

There's lots of others, but these are the main ones I kept coming across.

I'm mainly looking for hormone regulators (I also suffer from a mild case of anxiety/depression so I figure it would help that a little too).

I know I'm ovulating and don't have PCOS or endo and my LP's are decent lengths and cycles are pretty regular so that somewhat narrows down the potential infertility problems I may be having. I could still have some physical problems (blocked tubes), but there's nothing I can do about that right now so I'm going to try focusing on hormones. Of course it could also be on BF's end but until we hit the 1 year mark, I figure I'll just focus on things I can do for myself.

Don't use evening primrose oil after Oing!! It can cause uterine contractions that can inhibit pregnancy. This is one that is only supposed to be used during the first two weeks of your cycle.

I've only taken Evening Primrose Oil (it helped create fertile CM the first month, but quickly stopped doing that). I took a few months off of it and am trying it again this cycle. And just as Amanda pointed out, it's only to be taken until ovulation, not after.

Otherwise, I'm taking Maca Root- it messes with some people's cycles, as we've had two accounts of in this forum alone, but mine seems to be ok. If your cycles are regular, which mine haven't always been, I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.

IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.

March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

I bought the fertilitea and it was not for me. I like a dark strong tea and this was more like a light minty flavor, no matter how long you seep it for.

Thanks for the input.

I took the evening primrose today, but I won't take any more until next cycle. I'm sure I'm going to O either tomorrow or Thursday (probably tomorrow) so I've got a few weeks before the next cycle starts to do more research.

Raspberry Leaf Tea has done wonders for regulating my cycles after my m/c. i m/c'd at 12 weeks so it really screwed up my cycles. be careful of what you are taking. i see an acupuncturist/herbalist weekly and she told me that if you mix herbs and you don't know what you are doing, it can cause more harm than good. She recommends the raspberry leaf for hormone regulation. good luck!!

My coworker takes wild yam to regulate her cycles. She said that it's a type of natural progesterone.

I'm a little wary of using supplements. You just don't know how they will interact with each other and if they're safe at all times in your cycle.

I'm debating going to an herbalist to learn more.
