Usually I say I need a JM break, but then I never take it because I am so addicted and I miss you ladies. This AF, however, fogged my mind enough to allow me to step away for the whole week (that's quite an accomplishment! LOL). Top that with a busy busy week at work, and that's a recipe for a JM break! But alas, I missed you ladies.
Update on me- I'm on cycle day 6, and the witch is finally starting to go away!! First, as you all know I deal with excruiating pain with AF because of my endo- well, for the first time since BCP, I had an almost PAIN FREE period!! It was absolutely amazing. Since my first AF after surgery was only 2 weeks post-op, I'm not sure if this (being 4 more weeks later) was because of the surgery, the maca root, or the double dose of EPO I was taking for the first half of last cycle (until O), which I've heard helps endo pain as well! The only downside (which I'd take over being balled up and crying for 3 days) was that this was the absolute heaviest AF I've EVER had. Seriously, I had no idea this was possible! I only had slight endo pain last weekend when AF showed, which went away with Ibuprofen (never happens!), and a little bit Tuesday morning- I laid in bed awake for an hour or so with pain until the Ibuprofen again got it under control!! And a plus is that the witch will be out of town for my Birthday!
Oh well- we'll see what happens this cycle! My RE appointment is on October 14th, so cycle day 25, which should be smack dab in the middle of my 2ww. I'm anxious, nervous, and excited all at once. I am very ready to move on. DH and I are ready to do what we can to get pregnant (not that we weren't before, but 18 cycles is ridiculous), and I'm super nervous about what this will all cost us.
If you read all of this, you get a cookie!

Thanks, ladies. I'm so glad about this AF, too! For some reason, though, I'm not convinced it was the surgery (since last AF was so terrible and my surgeon explained about how little endo he was even able to remove). I am putting serious stock into it being because of the maca root. I've taken it every day starting cycle day 1 last cycle, and I swear it's done wonders with my endo! (Just my opinion- not proven! LOL)

I'm so glad that you finally had a nearly pain free period. Hopefully the good news continues for this cycle. I totally agree - 18 months is too long to wait!

Thanks Kimberley and Lynda!
I'm glad to be back, and I'm glad the witch is leaving town. Tomorrow is Jon and my 12 year anniversary of being together, and I'd like to celebrate.

I'm so glad that you're back, and I'm even more glad that your AF was nearly pain-free! I mean, if she's gonna come and ruin your hopes of being pregnant, she can at least be painless, right?
I hope that your break away helped you clear your mind. I'm very excited for you to be seeing your RE again! I'm sure you'll come up with a great plan to get your MUCH deserved BFP!
Oh yeah- I want my cookie too!

What kind of cookie? I want mine too!
Welcome back - we all need those. Ya for a mostly pain free cycle, though I am sorry it was heavier. Hope you are rejuvenated and you get your BFP this cycle without the help from the RE!

Thanks Cris & Christina! What kind of cookies do you like?
I'm hoping I don't have to use any of the planning done at my RE appointment, but if I do, then at least it'll be set up and hopefully ready to go. One of my big concerns is that this will all start around the holidays and busy time at work as well. Both DH and I will have a harder time running down to Pittsburgh for IUI, testing, etc. at this time of year. If I thought my endo wouldn't be an issue in another 3 months, I would just forgo plans and start IUI/etc. the first of the year... BUT, I am sure the endo is already crawling back onto my ovaries as I type this! I don't have a choice but to be proactive NOW. We'll see what we can do this month though.. conceiving a baby around our 5 year wedding anniversary would be magical.
