I'm almost 98% sure I'm out this cycle. BFN on Monday and spotting Tuesday and today, plus my kinda nice looking chart took a lovely nosedive. I'm 14dpo- which the longer end of my normal cycles. It sucks cause Shawn and I had almost convinced ourselves that we were pregnant.
Yesterday I set up my mail-in prescription thing for the HCG trigger (Insurance requires I do it this way now). I was worried I wouldn't have it in time, so I got the ball rolling. Well, the HCG will be delivered to my house tomorrow between 8 and 11am. So I could have waited a bit longer, oh well.
Shawn & I decided to move to IUI. I know it may be jumping the gun to some people (after only 1 Clomid cycle), but we're done. We're ready. In fact, Shawn (Mr Drag his feet on everything) was very ready to go on. I called my Dr (to get the prescription faxed) and he's happy that we're doing it. His only concern is the timing won't work and I'll be due to the trigger and IUI on a Saturday or Sunday. He asked if I was sure that AF was coming and I went through the story and I how this is typical before AF. He hoped that I get AF yesterday or today and then the cycle will likely work for IUI.
So where the heck is AF? I'm worried that she'll come late and it won't work out. I'll call the nurse and see what they want me to do if AF doesn't show by today. The plan (as it stands now) is 100mg Clomid (he upped the dosage) on CD5-9. Follie U/S on the 19th (backup u/s for the 21st) and if all is ready, we'll trigger and do the IUI.
Sorry about the venting... I'm just frustrated. If the darn witch is gonna show, c'mon and just show already. I know I'm not pregnant, and I just want to move on! Sorry again about going on and on!
---------------
Update:
Guess who finally showed for the party! AF came this morning... I'm sad cause I was still holding out the tiniest bit of hope that we were pregnant, but I'm relieved because if she came any later, I would worry about the IUI timing.
My nurse had to change my Clomid start date (still CD5, but they had to change it on my "treatment calendar" in their office) and then we rescheduled the u/s. She's confident that everything will work out timing wise!
Also, Mr Fed-Ex man came with my HCG "kit" today. I say kit cause it is waaay more stuff than I got at the pharmacy last time (I only got a small box with the 2 vials in it). This time, I got a big packing box with paperwork, ice packs, prep wipes, 2 syringes, 4 needles, a sharps box, and finally the HCG. Our plan is for the Dr to give me the injection, but if I have to do it, at least I have everything! All that for only $4, and it came right to my door! Gotta love the mail-in pharmacy!
I pick up my Clomid this afternoon, and then I think I'm set for this cycle! I think I'll take some pics of everything so I can put it in the baby book one day! DH would laugh at me, but hey, it's part of our journey!
Thanks again to you guys for listening and making me feel better! It really helps to have you girls in my corner!

I PM'd you- we were on the same wave length!! You beat me to it!
Anyway- your LP will be longer (most likely) on Clomid. It bumps up your progesterone in most cases and causes a longer LP. My normal LP is 14 days, but my first cycle of Clomid was 17 days.
I'm so sorry this cycle didn't work out for you. I just may be 2 weeks behind you in my first IUI cycle too!

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

You are not jumping the gun on IUI. I didn't do any medication & timed bding -after 18 months of trying and no luck.... WE WERE READY! Sometimes you just have to give your body a little nudge and hopefully, that is what the IUI will do.
I'm glad you are going for it! It is overrated anyways And I know what you mean about the weekends....my doctor didn't do IUI on the weekend, and it sure caused some anxiety that first cycle, but it turned out well in the end.
Cheers to a long awaited BFP!!!

LOL- I guess we are on the same wavelength! I didn't know that about my LP and Clomid, so thanks for letting me know. Shouldn't that be on the label or something? My normal LP is 13 days, so I guess AF can show anytime now.
I hope you're not going to have to do IUI cause you're gonna be pregnant this cycle, but if you do, we can be "kinda" IUI buddies and we'll DEFINITELY be moving to a DDC together!

Thanks LeeAnn for reassuring me that I'm not jumping the gun. I think the worst part is trying to figure out the cycle timing! It's defiinitely stressful! Hopefully I'll follow in your footsteps and IUI will be the answer for me too!

Cris I'm so sorry that this cycle didn't result in a BFP. I totally understand wanting to do IUI right away. I'm ready to skip ahead to that step too and I haven't even had my initial consultation yet!
Good luck on this next cycle. Hopefully your body cooperates and O's on the right day!

So sorry - I hope AF makes up her mind too.
My first cycle on the clomid I had no spotting at all and we all know I spot every cycle for 2-4+ days. My cycle went from 27 days to 29 that first cycle too.
Good Luck moving on to IUI - I hope everything works out well for you. I would move on to IUI too if I could.

I think it is perfect plan Cris!! You are the only one that can really know if you are ready for IUI. We jumped to IVF after one IUI cycle so I know what it is like to just jump up a level! Now hopefully AF cooperates and you have your perfect IUI cycle and get your BFP very soon!

Kim- Thanks! I don't blame you for wanting to move right to IUI! I almost wished I had, but I had to at least try one cycle with the just the Clomid and trigger. Now I'm out of patience! LOL
Thanks Christina- It's kind of weird cause last cycle (no meds) I had no spotting what-so-ever. I generally have a day or 2 of spotting. Now on the Clomid, it seems that all I'll do is spot! LOL If I'm not gonna be pregnant, why can't things just be simple!
Thanks Alicia! I do feel kind of like we're passing "Go" without permission or something, but we're ready to move on! Good luck with your IVF!
Thanks Kari! That's sweet of you!

Glad AF finally made up her mind and didn't mess up the IUI dates! Good Luck girl! I hope you graduate from here very soon - even though I will miss you! I am pretty sure you, Jackie and Lynda at the very least will be leaving before I do. Probably more of you will leave before I do!

I'm "glad" she finally came, but more glad that the timing won't be messed up. I'm so excited to follow your IUI journey!
