Well he just showed up at my doorstep haha! One day I got a knock at the door and there was two men in military uniforms standing there.. one grabbed me hugged me and said "hey kris" I was ready to call the cops no idea who they were. Anyways the one guy said he knew me from when I was 12, got my address and wanted to find out how I was doing. So we went out for drinks caught up with eachother and he left back to his military town. A few days later I got a call from the guy that was with him and he said he was interested etc etc. It went from there lol.

I moved to a new neighborhood. I had been there for 3 years and always noticed him. I HATED HIM AT FIRST. Everytime I walked past him and his friends to get to my apartment, they all stared and got very quiet. So I said to myself, what the h*ll are these guys looking at!!!

Everyday I walked past him and his friends, I hated them more and more! lolol

So one day, I went to the supermarket and he was standing by the door. Turns out he was waiting for his then girlfriend. So I noticed that his staring was because he liked me. Later that day, I was standing outside with my friends and he was standing outside alone. So I walked over to him and that was that.

One month later, we were living together, 5 months later we were pregnant with twins, 2 months later we were married!

Most people here know my story. I met DH on the internet by advertising for a sperm donor in Feb 2005. We met for lunch in March. Dated in March and April. Got engaged in May. Married on July 23. Who knew?

I went to kindergarten with his sister so I always "knew" who he was. I remember him beating her up at her slumber birthday party in the 6th grade! In Freshman chorus class she showed me his senior picture and I took it and showed everyone. I was saying "Look at Tina's brother, isn't he HOTT"!

She told him about that. A few weeks later, he saw me walking my dog and drove by a few times until he saw what house I went into. He knew our house because he was in classes with my older sister. He asked his sister about me, called me, and took me on a date. I was 14, he was 17. We've been together for 17 years this July, married for 10 years this September. He's the love of my life

We met through a mutual friend. I wasn't interested at first but he was very persistent. His persistence paid off because we have been together for 12 years this July. Yikes time sure flies by.

I love these stories!!!

I was in a class with mine, but didn't know him, really. Later, I referred to him as "that creepy guy from [the campus bar]" because he would corner me often (even though I was obviously dating someone at the time), sort of follow me, and his roommate would come up and take his picture with me. (Still not sure what that was about.) After I graduated, I left, but came back a year later because my sister was still there. I was going to visit her for 2 weeks. He was writing a paper one night, about 3 AM, and asked me for an opinion. I froze because he SHOULD have graduated and I KNEW who he was. I helped, anyway, chatted all night with him, and went outside in the morning with him. As we walked out, a rabbit ran in front of us and this dark, broody-looking, 6'2" football player/philosopher said very excitedly, "LOOK! A BUNNY!" I cracked up. He talked to him mom about me that night, even though he didn't know my name. He told me the next time we talked that I should have kids, he would help raise them. "I'm not having kids with you." "Oh, they don't have to be MINE!" Still, before he knew my name, he told me we'd get married. I never planned to get married. He showed me! We dated briefly, my mom got ill, he was going to move with me to take care of her (talk about commitment), she died, we were separated, his whole family told him not to bother with me because we hadn't dated all that long...but I moved out here to be with him, sight unseen and we started trying to have a baby that night. I knew, he knew...sometimes, you just know.

Of course, we weren't actually dating...we were "friends with benefits". We're working on a "family-friendly" version of that story for our families and kids. After 3 years of us being together, they still don't really know how we ended up together.

[font=Tahoma]THese are fun!! I love telling how me and dh met. we both had an ad on yahoo personals and he e-mailed me, i e-mailed him back and we chatted a few times. he gave his number one day and said call if i ever felt like it. so one saturday while i was at work, i was like hey, i'll call him. i was soo tired of being single! that was on november 13, 2004. when i called he asked me over to watch football (i'm sports freak) but i was working so he suggested dinner. he came and picked me up at 8 and we went to dinner at macaroni grill and then downtown for a drink and while we were talking he leaned over and kissed me. my heart melted. we haven't been apart since then (except when he worked in kuwait for 4 months) but on nov 19th we told one another we loved each other and on nov 28th at his parents renewal of their vows (and the first time meeting them) he took me into the church to the altar. and said i know we haven't known each other long but i love you so much and know we were brought together. do you love me enough to love me for a lifetime? i'd be honored to have you as my wife if you would marry me and got down on one knee and asked me! i was floored and said yes we got married on April 2..so in 1 1/2 days is our first anniversary! we are just now ttc #1....with the help of clomid on next cycle. marriage isn't always easy, but it's what you make of it too. And with God any and all things are possible.

Another online hook up here!

I was actually trying to get a male friend of mine to ask me out, and one day while I was hanging out with him, I placed an online ad with hotmail personals, as a joke. It was a cute and silly ad. A week or two later, he and I finally got together, and then two days later, I got an email from a guy who had seen the ad. I replied and told him the situation, but we kept talking, just as friends, and he became my best friend and helped me through a lot. He actually lived in a town near my hometown, but I was away at college at the time.

He ended up telling me that he thought he was in love with me, but that he didn't want to break me and my boyfriend up. So I set out to help him find someone, and one of those set ups was with a friend of mine at college. He came down to meet us, and we all went out to dinner, but that didn't work out for him. Neither did any other set ups. Few months later, my boyfriend and I broke up, and by that time, I knew I was falling for my best friend anyway, so we got together, and a year later, got married.

It's been 6 1/2 years now since we got married!

My best friend and DH's best friend are sister/brother. The brother was getting married and DH was his best man. One night the family had a get together and DH came. I was there too as I am practically family. We sat at the far ends of this really long table. He didn't stay long and we didnt say one word to one another. He was/is very shy and hardly talked to any one that night. I did get a good look at his butt.....its a very nice butt.

I told my best friend that I thought he was good looking. I had a secret(from him only) crush on him for 2 years. That first night I was determined to be like the Mounties! Their motto is they always get their man and so was I! LOL!!

After the 2 years of secrecy he was told by the Bride-to-be at one of their showers. I gave her my number to call me only if he wanted to. As I didn't want to pressure him or anything as I was a single mom with 2 girls.

He called me the next day and we went out for our 1st date on Aug. 15/01. He moved in 2 months later. We had DD#3 in Nov. 0f 02 and got married on the 2nd anniversary of our 1st date.
