IUI is complete!
We got there for 9am and gave them the sample cup. (DH carried it in wrapped in a washcloth and stuffed inside his Islanders hat ) It took about a half hour to wash and prepare the sample and then they called us back.
I hopped on the table and they brought in the IUI tray. Dr P came in and asked if we had any questions, and then he did the IUI. If it lasted 3 minutes I'd be surprised. I felt some cramping and DH saw that I was uncomfortable and grabbed my hand (so cute) It was over quickly and they had me lay there for 20 minutes. DH was reading me articles from the People magazine they had in the room to pass the time LOL... Once 20 minutes was up and I got dressed and headed out.
As we were leaving, every nurse, staff member and Dr that we saw was wishing us good luck and telling us that they'd be thinking positive thoughts or praying for us. I nearly broke out into tears cause they were all so sweet and sincere! I was checking out and the very pregnant receptionist wished us well and when I commented on how they were all so friendly and supportive, she answered, "well we can't imagine what you're going through, so we are trying to support you the best way we can". I thought that was so sweet! I LOVE my Dr's office!
So, I go for a progesterone serum blood test on Tuesday to confirm that I O'd and then we wait! I can't believe that it's over and it was so quick (it was 10am when we got in the car to head home- so 1 hour total).
We're staying as postive as we can and of course saying tons of prayers. If you guys wouldn't mind saying a prayer or two for us or just sending out some positive vibes, we'd really appreciate it. Thanks for all the support and well wishes you have all sent our way! It means the world to me!

YAY! So glad that it went so smoothly and you have such a great support system with your DR's office!
Hope this is your one and only IUI... and we can celebrate in a couple weeks your BFP!

Thanks so much Kari and Jackie!
Jackie- yeah, we're lucky cause I think DH would have had trouble doing it anywhere but home (He'd eventually do it, but it'd take forever lol). Plus we only live 15 minutes away from the Dr's office. As it is, he locked me out of the bedroom. I was literally sitting in the car with it running while he made nice with the cup LOL. Oh what the neighbors must think!

Your little story about your DH in the bathroom and you in the car is hilarious, Cris. Oh, the injustices of it all!

LMAO!! My RE requires everything be done at his office... ultrasounds, bloodwork, and yes, you guessed it- s/a's!! Jon has already had to do 2 at the office. He was a little nervous the first time, but after got there, he was surprised. They have their own room- set up a lot like a living area with a couch, etc (he said it was really nice! ) and movies and magazines galore!

Daily prayers for you lately girl!
Your DH was lucky - actually I won't tell my DH how lucky yours was. We live 15-20 minutes from the place DH had to have his done at and he had to go there to get it done. He got a little room with a bathroom attached. It had a little couch. I went with him to help though.

What would I do without my TTC6months girls and grads... you guys are the absolute best! I feel like we have so much wonderful support from you all and I can't thank you enough!
Yeah, I've randomly broken out in little laughing fits when I think of me sitting in a running car while DH took care of business... He literally hopped in the car and I took off. It's like we were a part of a drive-by sperm-inating!

Cris, I'm so excited everything went well, I hope you get your BFP!! My fingers are crossed for you!!!
PS- that is hilarious you sitting in the car waiting for DH! My DH wouldn't let me in the bedroom while he did his thing either, but he took it to the hospital himself, so I just waited at home.

I'm glad that it went well and that at least you were able to find some humour in it. Good luck with your progesterone test tomorrow!
