How horrible I have to date my "plan posts".

Okay - DH and I talked about it. I have one refill of 100 mg clomid left. We will use it. I am continuing the B6 (same dosage - 50mg). I added 2000 iu of Vitamin D as I read that people with PCOS can have a problem with their lining and Vitamin D deficiency can cause that. Long about process but that is where I am. I am also adding in a DHA supplement this cycle too.

If that is a bust - we will do a natural cycle - with the supplements and stuff as above and just enjoy the Christmas season and the New Year. We will have DH's grandmother in town and we only get to see her once a year so that will be nice.

Then after the first of the year we will reassess when we can get to the fertility specialist. They quoted me between $100-275 for the first consult depending on insurance and tests. Our new insurance covers NOTHING inferility related and the tests would need prior approval to see if they could be covered. I might try one (maybe 2) cycles on the birth control pill and then go off and and go from there. I got pregant right off the pill with AJ and DH is convinced that it regulated something with my PCOS. We will see after the first of the year though.

Lots of luck to you! I'm definitely taking the holidays off from all meds/supplements/everything.... maybe even charting!

What insurance do you have? BCBS told me over the phone that they would not cover anything of mine infertility related....not the hsg, none of the ultrasounds, IUI....nothing.

BUT....the hospital where the hsg was done AND the doctors office both coded the tests as X-RAY services and everything was covered in full. The only thing they didn't pay was for the actual IUI and the doctors office doesn't even bill for that - it is straight out of pocket.

Maybe the insurance will pick it up once they get the actual bill.

I hope that your plan doesn't have to go much farther than the next cycle. Hopefully the combo that you've got planned will work out for you!

I'm also taking a break from MA over December (if it's needed) and going natural. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time with your family without TTC stress!

We actually have BCBS (PPO) now. I have already had the HSG and all that and whatever is done now with the fertility specialist will be with them directly. I honestly don't know what they will or won't cover cause we have only had this new insurance since the 1st! I hope that makes sense - DH just got home and I have to heat up dinner.

I'm glad you have a plan. I hope that you won't need to see the fertility specialist.
