it is more acceptable or doesn't get you down as much when someone you know that has had a hard time TTC and finally gets a BFP than someone that hasn't been trying at all or much at all?

Unfortunately it's true for me. Perfect example- a couple we know struggled to get pregnant and finally did after a long while. I was instantly happy and excited for them. That same week, someone else I know found out they were pregnant without trying. I was so upset.

I feel bad that I get frustrated for some people when they find out their pregnant so easily. That's not how I should react, but after TTC so long I guess that's the way it is for me. I really should work on that!

I think it's just the nature of the TTC beast...

Our best friends just found out they are preggo with #2 after one month of coming off BCP. I was and am happy for them but it made me so sad for us!

THEN...

My really good friend that has been struggling with MF and PCOS and was told she had a less than 1% chance of conceiving with IUI, just found out she is preggo.... completely NATURAL!!! I was bouncing off the walls excited and all it did was renew my hope!

it does renew your hope forsure, cause sometimes I just get so down and think that i've been trying for so long and changed really nothing so what will bring on a bfp now that hasn't in the past... but then when you hear stories from others trying for a long time, who do it all on their own, it gives me renewed hope!!

I know I should be happy for the ones who didn't try too, but it is definitely harder.

I am more excited for those who have had a hard time conceiving. I find that I want to hear about their pregnancy and the progress. But for those who just seemed to get pg without effort - I find it hard to hear them talk about it.

I think Kari said it wonderfully--the nature of the TTC beast.

Not that either family won't love their child any more over the other, but the level of appreciation, patience, and usually preparedness is a huge difference. For those who have been TTC a long time they prepare themselves and understand what the screaming nights will be like (most dream of them) so those who end up pregnant and can't afford it and so on get on my nerves. Those that get pregnant and complain about it get on my nerves. No one said it would be easy but if they didn't want a baby, wrap it up or take a pill

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.

IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.

March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

I'm relieved to hear this is a normal emotion!! Seriously... I have felt this way for a while and had convinced myself I was crazy for thinking this way.
