Last cycle for my IUI, I got sick, which caused my O to be delayed, my OPK to turn positive 2 days after O, and my IUI to be poorly timed. Now this cycle, I have a sonohysterogram tomorrow, I'm on a strong (sickening) antibiotic, and we've had to abstain through tomorrow. What happens? I get a positive OPK today! I can't BD until tomorrow, I found a little EWCM, but not much-- I have quit all supplements besides prenatals, so my CM will probably suffer, but ugh. I'm not temping so that I could chill out over the holidays, but now I'm wondering if I should the next few days just so I can hopefully see the temp rise (not til after tomorrow!!!). I don't know how antibiotics will affect my temps (or if it could even cause a false + OPK). I have no idea! In 2 years of ttc, I am confused!

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

Ugh! I do think the antibiotics will affect your temp, I dont know about a false + though...maybe someone else can help you with that one. Hopefully its either a false + or you wont O for at least a couple of days! You dont need this kind of crap!! Im crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks, Ashley! I googled it and it doesn't look like it can do anything weird with the OPKs. I'm surprised it didn't delay my O rather than speed it up!

Look what happened to my cycle while I was on antibiotics for my HSG! Those things should come with warnings specifically to O'ing.

Ditto! I would think it would delay it too! Thats crazy that it seems to be speeding it up! I hope its all just some sort of fluke though, and you dont O for a couple of days at least!!

Thanks for the support through my whining. I have lots of EWCM tonight (IT SO FIGURES) and I told DH that he has to hang on to his guys for one more day so that we can send as many as possible to mission eggie tomorrow night. I figure, if we were to do an IUI, it would be tomorrow anyway, right? So what's a few hours later and regular BD'ing? My boobs are sore already too, ugh! I hope O holds out until tomorrow night or Thursday!!
