So today I met with my RE to discuss the test results and to come up with the next part of our game plan. After the ultrasound, blood work, and stuff they decided I have PCOS as well. This is not shocking to me, as a I pretty much expected them to say this already. Although my tubes were clear on the HSG, they want to do Laproscopy to remove some cysts and most likely some scar tissue/adhesions from the Endo.

After the Lapro, we are starting clomid the next cycle.

They wanted to do the lapro in two weeks, but I didn't want to be recovering over chirstmas still. So it will be either January 5th of 8th, we will get the call this week to know for sure which day.

So, if it don't get pregnant this month, next month will be very busy. I'm REALLY hoping it happens this month, but I am trying not to get my hopes up. I did get a positive OPK, but it doesn't mean much... it's been positive for days now, and I guess with the PCOS that can happen.

They also mentioned they are still waiting on Eric's SA, and if it comes back with a lower count, they want us to consider going straight to an IVF route and not mess around with clomid or IUI's at all. I don't know how to feel about that, and said we'd discuss that when it got to it.

So there's the update. Lots of news. I swear that if I did't already expect all this and have read into it I would have been very overwhelmed. I still am! But I am happy we have a plan.

Oh wow! Although it's "good" to have some sort of diagnosis, I understand how overwhelming it can be to hear all of the necessities that come along with it. I really hope that THIS is your cycle and you won't have to worry about having the lap and fertility meds!

Bummer that you have PCOS on top of the Endo. Did they put you on Metformin? Are they really concerned about Eric? My OB wasn't concerned about Tony because we had AJ but did the SA just to be sure.

I have had Pos OPK's for days before, but so have people that don't have PCOS. I never heard that PCOS would cause multiple days of positives. My BOM instructor told me that she didn't trust OPK's with PCOS because they can give false positives. I ALWAYS have my O pain around a positive OPK so I can double check that I am Oing.

I hope you don't need to go ahead with the Lapro. But hey - if you do, you won't have to worry about timing BDing around the holiday's. You can enjoy yourself!

I don't think they are too concerned about Eric, I think my RE was just telling me so if by some chance it was a problem, we wouldn't be overwhelmed when it came up again.

I honestly can't tell what is endo pain and what is O pain anymore...and with being irregular it could usually be either when I feel it.

I'm hoping that I didn't get a false positive...... and that this is it. It would make it all so much more simple.

They didn't do metformin, and haven't mentioned it, but I don't get those scripts until after my lapro anyways, so I have no idea if it will be something they do.

I think it was a good idea to wait on the lapro until after the holidays. I find that December goes by so fast as it is. And ditto to what Jackie said - hopefully this will be your cycle and you won't have to worry about it anyways.

I hope the time flies by (I'm sure with the Holidays it will) and you'll be on your way to your BFP in no time in the new year!

I think it is a great idea to check out Eric, because one of my friends was trying for so long and they kept doing all these tests on her - month after month taking tests on certain cycle days. they already had three children so they didn't even consider her DH was a problem. so months and months went by and finally she went to a new dr. and he ordered a SA on her DH and low and behold, it came back with some issues. they fixed the issues and she just had a baby boy. so it's always a good thing to RULE IT OUT so you're not wasting cycles!

I hope you get preggers this cycle girl. It would be so nice not to have to worry about all the busy stuff needed with the Lap. HUGS to you!!!
