My birthday is in two weeks (January 1st) and I am trying to figure out what to do. In the past, we have had several couples get together for dinner and then do fireworks and champagne at midnight (Dec 31st). I am really not feeling like a big hoop-la this year. Maybe just one other couple or two. Anyone have suggestions? What did you do for your birthday?

I haven't done anything for my birthday in probably 20 years- so not kidding... so I don't have any advice! This year, DH just made me dinner and had wine, and we called it a "date night" if I remember correctly and just hung out with the tv and movies.

I went to the rodeo on my birthday this past year. It was my first time going to one and I had a ton of fun. We just drank beers, laughed and had a good time.

I think a quiet dinner with DH would be a really nice way to ring in the new year and celebrate your bday. Make DH bring you breakfast in bed!

Homemade ice cream cake (ice cream sandwiches and redi whip and M&M's) and DH and AJ. That was it for me. DH is threatening a huge party for my 30th - I am just not a partying kind.
