Implantation bleeding?

Hi ladies,
I used to be here all the time but have been MIA for a long while now (gets too stressful!) I still check in every once in a while. My husband and I have been TTC #1 for a year now and have just started seeing a fertility specialist (I've also had two very early miscarriages).
Right now I am approx 6-8 dpo (don't chart anymore so I'm not 100% sure) and I just noticed a few tiny spots of red blood when I went to the bathroom. Is this too early for implantation bleeding? I've read so many different websites and some say IB occurs a handful of days after ovulation, some say between 7-10 dpo and some say at the time you expect your AF (mine would be on 15 dpo). Which one is it? Is is too early? If so, what the heck is going on? I'm sure I didn't ovulate any earlier, and if I did, I wouldn't be pregnant because we didn't BD then. I've also read that IB should not be accompanied by cramps, but I've had light cramps since I o'd. And this cannot be AF -- it's way too early for that!
Any insight is appreciated!

6-8 DPO is perfect for IB. I've only had IB once in several pregnancies, so I don't really know what's "supposed" to accompany it, BUT with implantation, I've had cramps every time. Not overly strong ones, just that uncomfortable feeling. If you're not sure if you O'd, on the other hand, you could be having ovulation bleeding (which can actually be a good sign!), or (and boo on this one and I hope not) you could have an anovulatory cycle and spotting could be the beginning of AF. But this last one is hopefully MUCH less likely! (I just thought I should lay it all out there!)

Thanks for the input, iamkc! I had another tiny streak of light pink blood again this morning and nothing since. The cramps have lessened, although they were never bad, just, like you said, an uncomfortable feeling. I'm pretty sure I'm not ovulating now (although I don't think I can be really sure of anything anymore). If I am ovulating now that means that my cycle will be way longer than its ever been and if its AF, then my cycle will be shorter than its been in over a year. My cycles are usually pretty regularl between 33 and 35 days. Seems odd, but I guess anything can happen. I guess I'm just hoping for the best (just like everyone else here!!).
My other symptoms:
heartburn
fatique
moodiness
tender boobs
high CP
Could all be AF

I will wait until early next week to test. I don't want to wait very long since my 2 miscarriage have happend extremely early. My fertility doctor said that if I am pregnant this month they will give me progesterone right away to hopefully help me keep it.

Lets hope for a BFP

Hi-I just wanted to tell you that after 14 cycles of ttc I am now pregnant. My first sign was light spotting the mornings of 6, 7, and 8dpo then nothing. At first I was super ticked thnking I had a way early af coming on but at 12dpo I tested and had a line. So I wanted to wish you luck and let you know it could easily be IB.
