Hi everyone My name is Tasha here is my story. me and dh have been not preventing for about 3 years within that we have been offically trying for about 15 or 16 months i stopped counting and ive been charting for 9months ive only been on JM since january i think. Last month i had an HSG everything was fine and DHs SAs came back fine. I have tried everything from Ovulex evening primrose oil robitussin of course prenatals opks charting and nothing! i was soo sure that this month was it but my temp took another dive today. AF should be here today. Its been so depressing this month it seems like everyone on the general ttc board are popping BFPs like candy and it seems like everyone that was there when i arrived on JM is leaving to a DDC. I am extremly happy for them all but i really dont want to go back over there now. I feel bad bc there are some in the same situation that dont even have a child. My DD is 3 will be 4 in June ive had an ectopic and I miscarried twins. Now 3 yrs later i cant even manage to get pg. *sigh* i just dont know what more i can do. Sorry for intruding with my sob story and i hope its okay if i stay awhile. Thanks for letting me vent.

ETA: And the witch is inching her way here. Just started spotting should be full blown before the day is over. *sigh* i guess i should call the doc and see what other test he can run. i wonder if i should wait alittle longer? He tells me your young you have time on your side. But do i really? *sigh* Dh has quite a day on his hands when he wakes up. Im trying to deal with it before then but i dont think itll happen and ill get over it that quick.

Well, Tasha...you're most certainly welcome, but we're sad that you've made it here. I hope that you find this group as supportive and fun as the rest of us do!

I'm sorry that this process is so incredibly daunting. Testing for everything is even worse...because who likes waiting??? I don't know if you'd call me lucky, but I knew just about everything wrong with me before we started TTC. One thing would seem to be under control and another would go crazy. We never had any tests specifically for fertility, but we knew that they all related. I'd cry just knowing that I had to go to the doctor. It's perhaps the most difficult journey I've been on, but I have no doubt that it's worth it. You have a beautiful DD, so I know that you know this.

I don't know what to offer other than encouragement, support, and friendship. ALL of these ladies will offer that...and they're WONDERFUL for it!!! to you and make sure you do something extra-special for yourself today! AF Day 1 is always reason for pampering.

Hi Tasha - after a year - I know how you feel - it always seems like the BFP explosion happens right when AF comes for me - sure you can hang out with us (sorry you have to) - hopefully we will all graduate into the January DDC.

Sendings you lots of and

Tasha, sorry you have to be here in our category. I know how you feel. I am 35 and ttc #1, and every month that goes by without a BFP is torture.

Have you had your progesterone levels checked, and does it appear that you are o'ing? The only way to figure out if something is wrong is to rule out everything that it couldn't be. If you have endometriosis, it might not show up on an HSG and it might cause infertility despite lack of blockages, so you might try getting a laproscopy (that's what I had). Also, be sure and have DH do a sperm analysis. If it's male problems, those can be treated too. If your OB won't move forward with testing, I'd get another one. My OB has been so fast with testing and treatment it makes my head spin trying to keep up with it sometimes, but I am so happy to be working towards a solution.

After a year of trying, you are considered infertile and your OB should be trying as aggresively as you will allow to find a solution. If not, you might want to try to find an RE to treat you. There are things you could be trying, like IUI's, that would increase your chances in some cases.

Hope this helps. Hope your stay here is short!

Tasha

I know how you feel I did the Not preventing thing for about 2 years before I started trying and it took me 14 months of Active TTC to get my BFP. I did get pregnant my 9th cycle of TTC only to have a M/C at 6 weeks so I know how much that hurts. After I had my M/C my body did was having issues and I was not ovulating I had a CD 21 checkup and they game me clomid and I got my BFP the first month.

Thank you guys you are all soo sweet and your support means alot really it does. Im in tears. This is soo hard and its great to have wonderful support and im gonna love being here with you ladies. I was thinking about contacting my GYN and see if i could get a progestrone test ordered my family doc did one at like 8 or 9 DPO and it was .46 I have no clue what that means. She pretty much did stuff to get me to quit asking, but never did them right. I think bc of my age she thinks i shouldnt be trying at all. That was very discouraging but the new GYN i found is awesome. Yesterday i curled up in my recliner and slept from about noon to 2:15 and then started getting ready for class. Im going to school for nursing. Im feeling alittle better today. DH was great yesterday he did more for me then what he knows, but it was just so hard yesterday. Even if my stay isnt short knowing that you all are so supportive and ill have someone to talk to that is going through the same is even better. THANK YOU when i read everything today my day was made so much more brighter.

Hey Tasha - If you regular doctor took a progesterone test at 8 or 9 DPO I would talk to you GYN about it and they can get the results from your regular doctor (you may need to sign a release) - then your GYN can review your results and plan a course of action. I went to the doctor back in early March (before I O'd) and she did a full blood panel for all my hormones - by the time I got into my GYN's appointment I was 8 DPO, so she did another progesterone test - she was able to contact my other doctor and get my results and she called me to let me know the results of both sets of tests. Heck your GYN may be able to do something with you just telling him/her your results - I told my doctor and she gave me a prescription for Clomid that day.

Good luck!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel. We have been TTC #1 since July 2003. I have been seeing a RE for a while now. We have also had all the testing, bloodwork, & SA done and everything came back OK. It makes you wonder what the problem is. I was on Clomid for 6 cycles with no success & have done injecitbles 3 times with no success either. We have done 3 IUI's & let me just tell you I am FED UP!!! I am ready for it to be my turn. If one more friend or co-worker tells me they are PG I may explode.

I wish you all the best. Good luck. Hopefully we will all get our BFP's SOON!!!!

Hi Tasha. I'm pretty much just a newbie to this forum. I've been TTC since April 05 - but yeah same goes around here. I have a daughter - 21 months and in the playgroup that I go to there are 2 new pregnancies....in my friends there have been so many new pregnancies along the way. It's even worse when they are unplanned - and like on of the girls just complains if it's not a girl then she's going to be so upset. She doesn't understand how much other people want a baby and could care less what sex it is. So I understand how you feel with everyone else gettin BFPs and it seems we just get the same old AF every month. I look forward to getting to know you better. Oh we have this and another cycle before DH is going in for his testing. Then we'll see where we go from there. Hopefully we won't need to, but I'm tired of being optimistic anymore.

We have been ttc #1 since Feb 2005 (actively, though, nine months), plus I am approaching 46 and my hopes are getting slimmer and slimmer. But we are still hoping.

Well if you had your progestrone tested at 8 DPO that makes it around CD 22 and they is when you should check your progestrone when I had mine done it was 7.9 and my DR said that was not a good ovulation so if your was that low I would bet that you are not ovulating very well my Dr said that 10 and above was a sign of good ovulation I would go to the Dr get a CD 21 ( 22) checkup and have them check it I bet you get clomid!
