Or know what causes it?

Hi, I'm just lurking here. We've only been officially trying for a couple of cycles this time around, but I posted here when TTC #1, and honestly...it's pretty likely that I'll be joining you here in a few months.

Honestly, I never noticed this until I was married/sexually active/trying to conceive. Several months before getting pregnant with my son, I would notice that several days before AF was due, I would start getting cramps in my inner thighs and down my left leg...sometimes all the way down my leg to my foot.

The cycle I got pregnant with my son I'm pretty sure I didn't have this (just crapmping in my inner thighs, but not down my leg.) Since I got my post partum period and have been cycling again, I've been having these cramps again..last month starting at 5DPO and this month starting at 3DPO.

I always take this as a sign of AF coming/not being pregnant, but honestly...how can my body even know at 3DPO that my eggo didn't get fertilized? I mean, I doubt I'm pregnant but it's just annoying to have my hopes dashed already at 3DPO. Can't my silly body let me have hope for a little while...say 10 days?
Sometimes I wonder if it's a sign of low progesterone. Ha, who knows...just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else ever experiences this?

I have. After my miscarriage for at least 9 months after. I kept thinking that I was getting sick because my legs would feel all achy. I finally realized that AF was on her way. I don't experience it anymore. i don't know if has anything to do with the pregnancy or not.

ETA: with me the pain started the day that AF arrived.

Sorry! I've never felt that either but every woman experiences different things. Yes, I know what you mean about giving you hope...it seems like when you are really looking for early signs of pregnancy you start to feel every single sensation in your body! Then, you think, am i feeling something that I normally don't? Could this be it? Then that **** AF comes around and you're like OK, here we go again! It's enough sometimes to make you wanna pull your hair out
