This is my first cycle using an opk. CD1 was 2/1. I am ready to begin using an opk, but I am not sure what time of day to use it. I read not to use it first thing in the morning, but later in the day you have to wait until you haven't had water for 2 hours or used the restroom in the past 4 hours. I NEVER have that happen! I drink a ton of water all day long and pee every hour or so. So when should I test? Should I just try not to drink water for a few hours or should I test in the morning? I am confused! What did everyone else do?? Thanks for the help

What brand of OPK are you using? I usually test in the am and then again around 6 - 7pm. I drink alot of water and soda and don't seem to have a problem with the results of the tests.

To make it easier on myself, the past few cycles I have been testing using First response and or answer tests. When the lines get sort of close to + I start using the clearblue digital. If you are about to O you get a smiley face on the test result!

Good luck!!

I am using the clear blue easy w/ the smiley face No smileys yet though! I like the idea of using the other kind until it gets darker and then switching to the digital - I hadn't thought about that. So you don't see any interference by testing in the morning or after drinking a bunch of water throughout the day? How dark do you let the line get until you switch to digital?

We are cycle buddies, cd1 for me was the day before you. I have short cycles - right around 23/24 days and got my smiley face last night! So you should get yours in the next few days. I let the 2nd line get kind of dark but I have such a hard time reading the lines that around cd7 I start using the digi ones I tested this am, afternoon and tonight and got all smileys... I hope you get your smileys soon!

I also buy mine in the 20 pack instead of the 7 pack off of ebay, much cheaper.

Most of what I read was to take it after 10 am. You should not use FMU. I used to try to take mine between 1pm and 5pm, just cause that was usually when I was consistently home. I know some people take them at work.

No, I still haven't gotten my smiley! I typically have really long cycles, but I don't know what to expect this cycle because it's my first on Clomid. My CM is watery though, and getting slippierer (is that a word?!) every day....I can't wait!!
