Well, for us, the baby's not here yet, but it's all getting very very close! I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow. I stalk you girls and check in on you all often. I am still praying for you ladies to get your BFPs!!! I want to start stalking you all in the DDCs instead of TTCs boards!!!
Update...Well, I've been put off work since last week to prevent my blood pressure from getting high (it was 146/92 or something?) and to make it easier on my gestational diabetes since I am home, less stressed and able to prepare better meals for myself, etc. It was a little rough at first with the medications, meal plans, taking my glucose levels 4 times a day, bla bla bla... but I've got the hang of it now and it's not that bad anymore. So far the baby doesn't seem affected by any of my little health concerns, so that's all that matters. Both BP and GD are fairly common in the last months of pregnancy it seems, and as long as I eat well, relax and am watched closely by my OB, everything should be fine. I get an ultrasound every week now to mesure amniotic fluid levels, heartrate, baby's weight, and my blood pressure, and so far everything is in check, my BP is better (132/78 today! ) and the baby is beautiful! We still don't know the gender, and it's crazy that we get to see him or her every week and still have no clue what to expect! At least the ultrasounds are a little perk in all of this.
Before you know it we'll be at the finish line...how time flies! I'll definitely come back to update in the grads section when the time comes. Take care ladies!

Congrats on being 33 weeks. I had high BP around 32 weeks and by 35 weeks I was on meds and had it stabilized.

Hi everyone!
We're doing great! Savannah is 6 weeks old today.. really can't believe how fast time is going - we're going to her ped tomorrow so we'll find out how much she weighs then - 3 weeks ago she was 6lbs 15oz so I'm hoping she's over 8lbs now (she had weight gain issues).
My MIL and Grandma-in-law will be here tomorrow - it'll be their first time meeting her (they live in Kansas). So I'm pretty excited about that.
She smiles now - this big toothless grin - it's so completely heart melting - I'm so completely and totally in love with her!
Here's some pics.

This thread is so inspiring! Your babies are so adorable. Can I ask a question for the grads? Now that you are pregnant/have your babies does the whole journey of TTC still hurt? Some days I am so frustrated and hurting and wanting... Did that go away?

Well, to answer your question as honestly as possible, the baby isn't even here yet and I'm already dreading TTC again down the road. This is such a happy and special time that I can't imagine going back to the frustration, waiting and wishing that went along with TTC. We want a few kids, but even though we have been successful conceiving #1, I still know there are no guarantees when the next time comes. I don't think it is ever something you forget, and maybe that's a good thing because I will appreciate my LO much more, but just the thought of TTC again makes me nervous.

Cel - they are absolutely adorable. They look identical - have you had then tested to see if they are?
April - she is beautiful! Congrats and enjoy these early days. AJ had a weight gain problem in his first two months. It all boiled down to his latch believe it or not.
Christine - it's okay - we will go up to the Grad section and read your's!
Missy - thanks for asking that question. I hadn't thought about that. I thought once I got pregnant all this pain would go away but hearing other's stories at least prepares me for the possibility it won't. We aren't avoiding (I don't take hormonal BC - I chart) after the next baby comes so we "could" end up pregnant after a few months or it could take 3 years again.

We haven't had them tested, but we think they are. I keep waiting as they get older for them to look different, but they don't. They have a lot of differences that I see, but most people don't.
As far as ttc hurting, it looks like I'm in the minority here. It hurt, but it also taught me so much. I learned so many things about my body and how to really be my own advocate and speak up for myself in medical situations. If I hadn't gone through what I did, I wouldn't have my girls and I can't imagine my life without them. I look back at the 21 months we were ttc and think about how hard it was, but how proud I am that I kept living my life and didn't let it consume me. I always try to look at the positive side of a situtation, so I guess that's the spin I'm taking on this as well. I do not dwell on the hard times, the emotional drain or the disappointment because while it took much longer (and more money) than I would have liked, it all worked out in the end.

April- she is adorable!!! I can't believe she ended up with dark hair! I though for sure she'd have blond hair!!
Cel- that's where my problem comes into play. TTC has consumed me for entirely too long and I've let it. I wish I had just lived my life to the fullest, but instead I obsessed/thought/etc. about ttc every second of every day.

I did my fair share of obsessing. I obsessed over my charts. I actually loved charting though and thought about temping right now just to see what my body is doing. Of course I don't get enough sleep in a row to have it be accurate. We aren't ttc, I just thought it would be fun to see a new chart.
DH and I both think it's funny that the girls were conceived on my birthday. We dtd that afternoon and went out that night. We got so ridiculously plastered I hadn't been that drunk since I was in college. It was my 31st birthday and we joked that I was trying to repeat my 21st.
I know it would be hard, but I think you need to make sure you have some fun during your IVF cycle. Make sure you take some time for yourself nad relax. BTW, I'm super excited for you to start.

Thank you She is up to 8lbs 2oz now - so we're doing good - she's just going to have my build - which is good since Jeff is huge
