Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I'm back from the transfer and taking it easy.
In a nutshell: they retrieved 24 eggs. 19 were mature, and only 13 fertilized - even with ICSI. Unfortunately the embryos were not doing well. Yesterday they decided that they wanted me to come back in this morning for another transvag u/s because they were worried that I would be prone to OHSS due to my high E2 numbers while doing the stim drugs. If that was the case, they would cancel the transfer and all this would have been for nothing.
I spend most of yesterday drinking Gatorade trying to help with the bloating that I was experiencing.
The good news is that while I do have some fluid in my abdomen, they don't think that I'll develop OHSS. I was able to do the transfer today.
We opted to transfer 3 since the embryos were not of very good quality. 1 was 8 celled, the other 2 were 7 celled. They will keep the rest in the lab for a few days to see how they do, but at this point they don't expect that any will survive freezing. We literally have all our eggs in my basket!
If this doesn't work, we will probably stop TTC altogether. So keep your fingers crossed that my embryos do what they're supposed to do.
