Hey ladies, remember me...Alicia!!!! Sorry I havent been on in like 5 months...after the IVF failed I really wasn't in a good place. It took a long time for me to come to terms with the fact that it didnt work and pick myself up and move on. But, I am back!!!
Since the IVF we really have just been taking time to focus on us. We have spent alot of time working on our house, and attending my sisters' sporting events. My husband is coaching my youngest sister's traveling team and that has taken up every weekend we have had since about January. As far as TTC goes we were really just NTNP... I finally had my IVF follow up appointment last week and we have a new game plan. We had 7 embies freeze that are all high quality grade 1 or 2. So the natural decision for us was to move on to FET. We have a very good chance with 7 embies, that one is our sticky little bean! So I start on BCP tomorrow (Yikes), April 19th I start Lupron, and April 30th is my baseline appointment. We will have another appointment May 12th and sometime the week of the 17th-21st will be our transfer. Our embies are frozen in 3 tubes...3 in one and 2 in the other two. We will unthaw our one with 3 and see how they look. If one does not make the thawing process we will then unthaw one of the 2s. At that point we will either be transfering 3 or 4 embies as we have made the decision that we are ok with the risk of multiples. My RE does not want to go any lower than 3 since transfering 2 did not work for us last time. So thats what our game plan is...hopefully we will be expecting a February baby soon!
So what is new with you guys?
I need updates!!
Any new comers I would love to hear your stories and get to know all of you!!
Ive missed you guys like crazy!

Hi Alicia. It's nice to see you back!
I just did my IVF transfer last week. Unfortunately our IVF experience was not very good. Of 24 eggs retrieved only 13 fertilized with ICSI and none were of good quality. We transferred the top 3, none of the rest survived to freeze. I'm 6dp3dt today.
I'm excited for your FET. I've read some articles that say that there is a higher success rate with FET. Good luck!

No, we have an odd situation and I struggle with that alot. The only problem that we've discovered with me is the MTHFR mutation which causes recurrent miscarriages in some people who have it (obviously that rings true with us, weve had 4 losses that we know of). And then my DH have some sperm quality issues, so my RE suggested IUI for us. I dont even need any MA because I produce good eggs and ovulate on my own. The only thing we do is the trigger shot. He really thought the IUI would work the first time, but as you can see from my siggy im on CD1 so the first time was a bust. Im pretty sure were only going to do it up to three times and then discuss where we're at when that time comes if it doesnt work (and by work, in our situation I mean get pregnant and stay pregnant). I never thought 16 months ago when we began all of this IUI and IVF would even be so much as mentioned by myself or my Dr, but look where we are now.
Sorry, im bitter today... CD1 normally does that to me, and having done the IUI this cycle makes it worse.
Im really happy your back though, as you know there is so much support here and it can really get you through alot!

Hi Alicia! It's good to see you around again. I hope you enjoyed the time focusing on you and your DH. It sounds like you have a good plan ready to go! I hope it's a success!
I'm still here... I did 2 IUI cycles and was successful on the 2nd one in November. We had finally gotten our BFP after over 2.5 years trying, but in December, we lost the baby. It was hard and I stayed away from the boards for a while myself. I'm back now and we're currently waiting for our new health insurance to start (DH was laid off in December but has foudn a great new job). we're very anxious to do another IUI and hopefully have our sticky bean!
Good luck with the FET!!!

Hi Alicia. I'm sort of more of a lurker now, but I wanted to say welcome back.
We tried an IUI late last year which was a BFN, and then did an IVF cycle w/ ICSI last month. We transferred 2 perfect embies and ended up with a BFN. Everything went perfectly, so I can understand the "bad" place you were for a while, as I'm feeling that too. I started birth control pills a week ago because my endo pain has gotten so bad that I can't take it anymore. Rather than treating this as a ttc break, we're slowly accepting and coming to terms with the life we've been given, and we're going to move on as husband and wife with no kiddos. We do, fortunately, have 6 frozen perfect grade embies, and we're going to discuss a FET in a few months. When we decide to move forward with that is the question, as it either needs to be August/September, or won't be until March of next year.
I wish you tons of luck with your FET! Your sticky bean will give me a TON of hope, as we only have 2 attempts left at ttc.

Thank you brie_91 for this fabulous siggy!!
Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

Welcome back Alicia!
We passed the 2 year mark at the end of January. Right now we are in NTNP limbo - though in a way I will always be trying - LOL! DH might be loosing his job because of the NASA budget cuts and we may have to sell the house/move in with my IL's. That will be BC enough. LOL
AF is due this weekend and so far so good. I feel great as in tired, fell asleep on the couch literally the moment DH put AJ to bed.

I think I remember you from the ttc#1 board?
We have just reached the 6 months mark so have decided to come back here. I started temping/charting again and am still trying to work out these cycles.
I hope everything goes well with the FET.
