Hi Ladies,

I sit here in an out of tears writing this. We got the results back of DH s/a and everything is normal so now we know that it is me that is the problem. I know my age is a factor here but I didn't think it would be so hard. We have been ttc for 14 months now. We go see the doc tomorrow and he is supposed to refer me to someone but I hope it is done quickly. I want this so bad but it seems to be that it is not going to happen. I am trying not to think negative right now but I am sad and depressed. What am I doing wrong? I hope the gynecoligist will at least consider putting me on clomid or something.

I know how you feel. I hate the age thing too. It really sucks. We've been trying for 20 cycles this being the 4th on Clomid. UGH!!

I hope the doctor sends you to someone quickly and you get help right away.

I'm right there with the age thing (45) and I know exactly how you are feeling. I hope that the doctors have a solution for you.

Well finding out who has the problem is the first step in fixing it. I am sure that when you go to the Dr they will do what they need to do to get your BFP. My Dr Put me on Clomid because I was having problems getting pregnant and it worked the first month. At least you know and you are getting answers. We are always here for you!

Thanks ladies, everyone here is so great and understanding. DH says I should not worry about it and things will be ok but it is hard not to.
I think next test for me is a dye test in the tubes to see if anything is blocking it. I would like them to just let me try clomid for a cycle or two.
My fingers are crossed for all of us to get our BFP soon.

Has anyone tried or known anyone that has used Ovulex and had it successfully bring a BFP?

I've known a couple of women who have used Ovulex who got pregnant, and I'm assuming that it was that that helped...but I can't be sure. Sorry.

I'm so sorry that you're discouraged by your results, but I am GLAD that you are getting answers and that your doc is "getting the ball rolling", so to speak. The dye test has sometimes seemed to work to clear any blockages you may have DURING the test, so it's not a bad one to have, I think. Still, perhaps while you're waiting for that you can ask the specialist for other options in the meantime.

I do so hope that you get answers. It sounds like your doc is willing to go in different directions for you to try to get you that BFP. I hope that the appointment today goes well! Please update us!!!

Have faith!

DH and I had been trying for, gosh, 20 cycles. He had a SA done - he passed with flying colors
His numbers were incredible! I've had all the blood work done at the right times, the dye test (HSG) etc....
I really thought the problem was me, then we 'relaxed, didn't track, nothing, and POW! Here I am 5 weeks pregnant!

Good luck on your journey!

Well I took off work to go to doc with DH. All he told us was the s/a came back normal so he is mostly ruled out. However dr wants DH to have bloodwork done just to ensure there is nothing else. I don't understand why they would do this. Is it not just the s/a that would cause fertility problems? What would the bloodwork have to do with it? Any ideas?
I am a little disappointed as I thought for sure the doc would refer me today. DH has to fast for 14 hours and he is out of town part of next week so he won't even get the bloodwork done until at least Thusday. Geez it feels like I am on a roller coaster of do this do that and it is not stopping.
On the plus side I have to try something while we wait, so I am going to try ordering that Ovulex. Fingers crossed that it will help.

Bobbi.

Tasha, thanks so much for someone saying I'll love ovulex, DH is scared for me to take it but I told him I can not sit around and do nothing. I have not tried EPO. Is it ok to take both at once. My only concern is that I have heard with ovulex you are not supposed to take any other pills. Do you have any ideas about this? I am on thyroid meds and have to take this for sure.
I hope everyone gets their BFP soon.

Hi . . .

I took Ovulex a couple years ago. After I stopped breastfeeding DS, my cycles ranged from 27 to 52 days. I took it one month, and it regulated me to a 28-30 day cycle. I only took it a month, but my cycles stayed regular for a year. It didn't help me get pregnant, but having a regular cycle was a start!!

I just bought some FertilAid which is supposed to be similar. The FertilAid bottle says that you can't take it if you are on clomid, and I start my first round of clomid tomorrow. So, I won't be taking it this cycle, but i wondered why that was. Maybe it works similar to clomid, and taking both would be too much of an ovary stimulant. Which could be a good thing for someone not on clomid!!!

I don't know the difference between them . . . but I paid over $50 for Ovulex and around $20 for the FertilAid. I bought them on ebay.

Hope I helped a little . . . . . and I really hope this helps you.

Misty
