Well, I guess not LIKE to . . . but feel more . . . comfortable in this area. Hmm . . . anyway . . . my story.

I'm Misty, 32 years old. DH is 40. We have one son who just turned 3. We decided we wanted to start trying, and I got a positive HPT 2 weeks later. I never thought it would be difficult to have the next. I wanted my kids 18 months apart, so we started for #2 in Dec 03. No luck for a year. DH went to Iraq in Jan 05 and returned Dec 05. This is the 18th month of trying with a year break due to the Army. All our tests have come back normal, so we have NO clue why it is taking so long to get pg this time around.

I feel pressured because DH is 40, and we don't want him to be 80 when our last kid graduates. I'm not getting any younger, either. My goal was to have all kids by 35, and looks like I'm pushing that back further and further each month. Another thing . . we just found out that DH may be going back overseas for a year. This is really getting to me. I don't want to have to postpone TTC another year. I am hoping and praying that we get pg before he leaves. I'll deal with being pg alone or having a baby without him here.

Anyway, I think this board will be easier to be active in . . . .

thanks for listening . . .

Misty

Welcome to the boards! I know how you feel about wanting the be here because its more comfortable... I am here alot more than the TTC boards because its easier somehow

I hope that you stay here is short and sweet - and that you get your baby before your DH has to leave again.

Your son is adorable btw!

Hi Misty and welcome to the TTC 6 month + board. I understand how you feel as well - this board is my refuge particularly when I feel really down. It is great to be around ladies who understand what it is like to be trying for a long time. I am sure you will find a lot of support here. I hope you are able to graduate soon!!!!!
