i was told at his two year appointment that he would not have to have anymore shots until he went to kindergarten. so today i forgot his shot records but didnt think it was a big deal. silly me. the doctor was out of her mind. she wants to give him a hepatitis A shot now and then another in 6 months. and since we live in arlington county he is supposed to have a tb test. i dont know what living in arlington county has to do with anything but whatever. this was the straw that broke the camels back though.....SHE WANTED HIM TO PEE IN A CUP!!! what is he getting a flipping drug test at 4 years old. i was so not happy.

That sucks!! My son just turned 3, and I was told the same thing about shots at his 2 year appt. The docs up here said that the Hep A has just recently been approved for pediatric use and is only required in certain areas. Luckily, where we live now (NY) and where we are moving (Tallahassee, FL), it is not required. Doc asked me if I wanted to go ahead and give him the shots . . . yeah, right!!! And I have never heard of a TB test on a 4 year old!!! Maybe the peeing in a cup was testing for UTI.

Well, I hope Ashton got an extra lollipop for all that!!!
