I'm an only child so I don't have much of an input!

I am almost 9 years younger than my sister. DH is 10 years younger than his sister. It is almost like having two only children I guess.

AJ will be 4 yr and 4months and in school part time when the baby comes so it will be almost like having two only children for me too, though not in the extreme degree DH's parents and my mom had. My other sisters are 1 and 4 years apart.

My stepbrother and I have 14 years between us and we're pretty close.

There's three and a half years between me and my sister and we're semi-close.

My Big brother and I are only 2.5 years different. We are really really close with each other and always have been.

My Dad however, is 14 years younder then his older brother, 12 years younger than his sister and 4 years older than his younger brother. While they are all extremely close with each other, you'd think that my Dad would be closest with the one he's closer in age to, but he's really closest with his brother who's 14 years older.

Long story short- I think if you nurture your kids to be close with each other, they will have a great chance at it!
