I meant to tell you ladies yesterday so you could prepare...

Today is:

1. Trust Your Intuition Day. Faced with a decision to make and you're not quite sure what to do? Trust your intuition! Cake or carrot sticks? Oh, yes, ladies--trust your intuition. (And along those lines, tomorrow is Eat What You Want Day. )

The second one isn't quite as fun and should be more an observance than holiday, I guess:
2. Root Canal Appreciation Day. Don't get me wrong--I'm glad that we have good dental services and that root canals save teeth, gums, and overall health, but...EEK!

It's also National Hug Holiday Week and National Postcard Week. Give someone a hug or send a silly or thoughtful postcard.

(It's also lots of other stuff, but I always figure I'll pick the less publicized ones...)
