Sorry if this is the wrong board for this.. Anyways, has anyone else had any experience trying to conceive after Mirena? We aren't doing the baby dance every single day by no means, but I have been without the Mirena for about 8 months now with no BFP! My period started the day after I had it taken out, and has progessively been a sooner date each month than the prior month (example: Feb 16, March 13, April 12, May 9)... June's came on June 6, and July's started last night. Do you think maybe my body is JUST now getting back to it's BC-free state? Blah, the doctors shouldn't say "you could get pregnant the day you get it taken out" and give me false hopes! I guess you always COULD get pregnant, but what are the chances? I'm just scared the Mirena messed me up... anyways, any input is appreciated!

I haven't used it but I have heard that some people after mirena have problems getting pregnant. Do you chart? That would help in figuring out if you are even ovulating, etc.

I have heard that going off the Mirena takes a little longer for your body to regulate. A few friends of mine have experienced it. Hopefully you're body is just regulating and gearing up for your BFP! Good luck!

I don't chart... I tried to at first, but it really stressed me out and I figured that was counter-productive!

i've heard the same thing about Mirena as far as it could take longer for your cycles to regulate. i know charting isn't for everyone, but it would help you to know what's going on as far as ovulation. if you are not ovulating, there is NO chance of pregnancy. You have to figure out if you are ovulating. if you really don't want to chart, ask your dr. to measure your progesterone. that is another way of telling whether or not you have ovulated. good luck and keep us posted!
