Hi Ladies. We'll i was supposed to go Monday for my yearly exam but my doc called and asked to move it to today as he has something personal to do on Monday. Anywho - i went for my exam and everthing was fine. We discussed the ongoing journey of getting a BFP and hitting the one year mark. This is what the plan is:

Go 5/17 for another progesterone check to make sure i'm still ovulating (Or at least trying to!)
When my period comes at the end of May, i'll schedule my HSG
If HSG shows clear tubes - i get to be labeled "Unexplained Infertility" and move on to meds
If HSG shows blocked tubes - move straight to Invitro

I guess the outcomes of the HSG have me down. Neither one are good really. I dont like the thought of "Unexplained Infertility" and i dont like the thought of having to go so extreme as invitro (not to mention that i can't afford it either!)

I dont understand why everything has to be so hard. I'm 27 - my body should work! Ugh. Sorry for the pity party. I just needed to vent a little.

((((Hugs)))) I am sorry you are feeling down. Try to focus on the positive - you are one more step closer to you BFP. I know it can be scary, but sometimes going through all this actually puts your mind at ease. It will be OK.

I know how hard it is to stay positive. We have been TTC since July 03 & have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility problems. It is really hard going through all these tests & having everything come back OK. It makes you think "why me, what is wrong with me". WE just have to remember to hang in there & one day we too will get our very own BFP.

I wish you all the best in your TTC journey.

I don't think your problem is unexplained. It seems to me like it is the same problem we are having after almost 1 year of TTC and that is long and irregular cycles. My cycles are between 40 days and three months, so even though we have been trying for almost a year, it has only been like 6 or 7 cycles and I just started charting two cycles ago. With irregular cycles it is extremely hard to time BDing around O because you just never know. I'm sure our timing was off until the last couple of cycles. I just had my HSG this cycle and DH had SA and both came back normal. My CD 3 bloodwork also came back normal. Our doc is planning on putting me on Clomid to help with my cycles and I feel really positive that once I have a normal length cycle and can predict O better, I think we will get a BFP pretty quickly.

Has your doctor talked about Clomid with you? While taking Clomid, my dr. wants to do U/S on certain cycle days and blood tests to help us monitor when I will ovulate so we can time the BDing better.

Hang in there. I bet yours is a similar situation and Clomid may do the trick for you. Also the HSG clears your tubes and increases the chance of pregnancy within a couple cycles after it, so take full advantage of that.

Thanks everyone. I am definitely feeling better today. DH had flowers waiting for me when i got home Friday as he knew i was having an emotionally hard day. I also prayed alot about it. You know the very next day i was driving by a church that has a bulletin board of sorts by the road where they post cute sayings and such. It read: "TIME" is a gift from God. WOW! Maybe i should just be thankful that i'm alive and learn to be patient that all things can happen, in due TIME.

Thanks for all your support. You all surely are great to help brighten someones day!

Carrie,

Sorry on the other post I asked you about your feelings before reading this my shame ! I see clearly now and send you a lot of baby dust

I had the HSG exam too, a little time back, and ugh God knows I hated it !! My tubes were very clean *sighs* so, no problem there (as I expected, because we know the problem comes from my hubby)

I'm puzzled that there in US they send you to test "in vitro" technics so fast !! Here, we have to wait for two years of TTC before being considered as "infertility couple" ... after two years, Ob gyns run plenty of exams and they give you medication, in general. After, they have some methods in Procreation under Medical Assistance but the "in vitro" method is REALLY the last step. We are allowed for three "in vitro" tries and insurrance companies, as the State, are giving us back almost the entire amount of money we have to spend to do it. After the third try, if we want to continue, we have to pay the full bill.

Well, wish you luck again and you know, you're 27 and I'm 33 so the question of the body which has to work is a joke... I guess some of us just have to work hard but I'm sure our babies will be the most beautiful, healthy and intelligent... the best, ya know !!

(((((LOTS OF HUGS)))))
