I guess you guys know the ups and downs of TTC like me.
I'm so late.. I am almost postive I O'ed on CD 19 because I had so much EWCM then.. (though my chart says CD 17 I O'ed)
Either way, I'm very late.
I got a faint line this morning, but I figure it's probably an evap.. don't you think a real fat pink line would have shown up by now?
I'm almost scared I have a cyst or something like that.. I called my doctor and I'm to call her back on Thursday if AF still is missing.
I don't know what to think ... it's actually depressing me quite a bit.
The girls TTC just keep wanting me to POAS but I see the reality of the situation and I'm at least 17-18 DPO if not more.
Blah thanks for listening

Hey Kara.
I know how you feel hun.
I was 2wks late last summer and thought i was deffo pg...
I tested and got a convincing evap line and was sooo happy
i got my dad to take me the chemist for another test...
Well it was neg and AF showed the next day
We have been ttc#1 for 2yrs at the end of this mth if am not pg
and i have come to the conclusion that the more i look for symptoms
and hope to be pg the less it happens
There is a chance that it was not a evap line though with yourself
so dont lose hope and retest with a equate or something,
not a internet cheapie if you often get evap lines on em!!!
Good luck!!
Sarah

Hey Kara. I'm certainly not an expert on this, but in my honest opinion - yes i think a bolder line should have appeared if you are really 20DPO. BUT i have never even got a faint positive in my year of trying, so if i did get one, i would be questionable just like you. It gives you hope no matter how hard you try to not let it! If no AF and no BFP soon - i'd call the doc to make an appointment. If nothing else they can give you a blood test and then Provera to make AF come again. i wish you the best. I know this is so frustrating. It sucks when your body does not want to cooperate. I'm still holding out hope for you though that this is your BFP!

Kara,
It really sucks, the not knowing. I guess all the tests in the world would give everyone a different answer. I know you're bummed out like I was. I just knew this was the month-I knew it. Then she showed. But look at the rest on the news you got this month. Remember, they thought you had worse problems and didn't think you could get pg. There's still hope and if it's not this month it will come. Just hold on. I love what Rodi's mom said-you'll get your spot light when you won't have to share it. Maybe there is other things going on that are stealing the light. Like your father's divorce, right? The light is searching for you, it just hasn't found you yet. ((hugs))

Yeah, you're right.
It just stinks because honestly, I thought it would be amazing to have a February baby. If my cycles would have stayed on track, I would have been due between February 21-27, which my birthday is the 21st and my DH's is the 27th. Wishful thinking, I guess.
Now, I would just like to start.. better now than never..

I so wanted Oct to be my month our baby would be due. I really really wanted it to. I was upset when I got af. I was more upset when SIL announced she thought she was due in Oct. I was devistated! I bawled-the first time I've bawled since ttc. I was happy for her but it hurt, a lot. She's lost the baby since then, which everything is fine now. BUT-after she announced, I asked her what she thought they'd name this one. they wanted to name their DS Elvis, but he's Asher. She blerts out that she really likes Sophia and she hadn't talked to her dh yet, but she liked it. There's the second time I bawled TTC. I was so set on my little girl being Sophie. Dh and I had finally agreed on names and SIL stole it!!
I guess, I'm just saying, we all hurt. But I'm sure there is a reason I didn't get my bfp and she did. Heck, maybe I didn't get mine this month because Baner and you are sucking up all the good vibes. ((double-hugs)) I hope you get to feeling better.

I understand completely - I had a cycle like that (my first real long one - over 70 days long) - it had looked like I O'd, but there was something about it that made me doubt it - I had temps over my "coverline" for over 18 days - I didn't want to test because I was pretty sure I hadn't O'd, but gave into the pressure - BFN - it hurt so much - and then of course I had that great looking chart last cycle - again leading to disappointment. I really don't want to POAS anymore.

I think maybe it is just to early for it to show up. Did the line have any color in it?

Yeah, it was a purple line.
However, tonight when I went to the bathroom, I reached up and did a toilet paper swab on my cervix. I had dark brown (rust looking) spot.. I guess this is what spotting is! So.. I'm guessing she is going to show.

We started trying last June too. I also thought it would happen much quicker.
I think you should get into your doctor Kara. Don't let that receptionist tell you what to do. You know something is not right, whether it is because your preggo (hopefully <fingers crossed>) or because of some other reason. It could be that you are one of those you just can't get a postive urine test, and some women don't for several months, or it could be something else. Do you think endo could have anything to do with it? I have heard that it thickens your linning making it difficult to shed, which is what AF's job is.
Sorry you are going through this.

Possibly, I've never had a problem with it before.. but I know that endo does grow.. so I guess it could be getting worse and that could be my problem
If I'm not pregnant this cycle after I used my monitor, I'm gonna call my RE and just get the ball going

I know it's hard because you get your hopes up and then AF shows up, I've been trying close to a year now. I have a friend who was 3 weeks late and kept getting bfn. She went to the doctor and turns out she was prego. she now has a little boy. When df and I decided to try for a baby, we conceived on the first try, but I had a chemical pregnancy. I haven't been able to get prego since then and I thought I was super fertile since I had conceived on the first try. Try to keep your hopes up we're all here for you
