NO WAY! It never even crossed my mind that we would be celebrating our first anniversary and not have a baby or be pregnant! Everyone in my family has a bunch of kids so I just thought it would happen.

Boy was I wrong!

After it only taking 3 months to conceive my DD I never dreamed it would take this long to conceive again. I waited until my DD was 3 months old before I started trying just to make sure they wouldn't be any closer than 12 months apart but I never thought I would be looking at my kids being 24 months apart.

My son, (who just turned 5), was the biggest suprise of my life. I wasn't trying to get pregnant, in fact, I was on birth control when I got pregnant. But, here he came none the less. Of course I would never change a thing. My little boy is my whole life. I never knew you could love somebody that much. But now, my husband and I have been together for 3 years. We started out just "not preventing" getting pregnant. Then actually started "trying". That was almost two years ago. I don't understand how it was so easy to get pregnant with my son, and so impossible now. It's frustrating, to say the least.

To be honest, it was always one of my biggest fears, and I always kind of worried about it, mostly because I wanted sooo badly to have a bunch of kids. My parents tried for almost 3 years to have my oldest brother(and then went on to have 4 more kids without too much trouble! ), so the concept of having to struggle to have a baby was not foreign to me.

Having said that, after it took 6 months to get pregnant with our son, I never thought we were the most fertile couple in the world, but it didn't take *that* long and I really hoped we could get pregnant faster the second time around. For sure I thought we would be able to have more children, now we aren't so sure

I never imagined. It was so easy for my mom (I was a honeymoon baby for example) and the only people I had personally known who had problems conceiving (that I knew about) were all much older, like late 30s early 40s. So when I got married last October, I thought I'd be close to delivering just about now..

Never did I ever think it would be so difficult! I thought coming off my birth control pills immediately a few months after I could get pregnant, but going almost a year now!
And seeing friends that have been able to conceive after 2 -3 months of trying, gets me so frustrated! None of my friends have struggled with conceiving, so they & family keep on asking the "when are you having a baby" question. I just feel like telling everybody to leave me alone...

Infertility runs in the family, so I kinda half expected it.

I thought it might take a few months, but never in my life did I expect this. 3 years, 2 IUIs and 1 m/c later, we're still trying (and waiting on insurances and stuff to start IUI again)

i never thought it would take longer than a month or two to get pg. my son was a total suprise, so i honestly thought i'd get pg the first time we tried! if i'd known it would take a while i would have started ttc soooo much earlier.

Never in the world. I worried before we ever thought about TTC cause I knew some people had problems (I was a member of JM before getting pregnant with AJ). But when I went off the pill and was NTNP/didn't know what I was doing with charting and ended up pregnant with AJ I thought that it would always be that easy. Haha right? There went my plan (4 kids by the time I was 30). It took us 2 years and 2 months (and I had just about given up/were waiting for extra funds to afford IUI despite it being against our religion) when we got pregnant this time.

Never in a million years. Every single person in my family had babies on accident, no one dealt with this. It never even crossed my mind
