When af comes? Mine came today and i am feeling pretty bummed. I usually get a movie with dh and have a glass of wine to make myself feel better. I dont drink at any other time cos of ttc, so it does cheer me up alot!

So i was wondering do you girls do anything special to cheer yourself up and get you fighting for the next cycle.

I tend to have "FU, AF" parties... they involve lots of caffeine, sushi, and bottles of wine. Really, though... I love caffeine and really limit myself all through my cycle except for AF week, so that's when I indulge. Hope you cheer up a bit, darlin!

Last cycle I got AF right before leaving for a 2-hour drive to see my friend and her brand new baby in the hospital so I treated myself to a French Vanilla Cappucino with EXTRA caffeine for the road. (I've been pretty much avoiding caffeine for 9 months now...I might as well be pregnant ).

Overall, I actually usually feel more positive and upbeat once I actually get AF. The days before she arrives when I know she's coming and I'm dreading it are worse.

I'm usually pretty depressed the day af comes. I usually spend the first hour crying. Then I eventually pull myself together, my hubby and I usually spend some quality time together and after the first day I am generally fine. I tell myself there is always next month. Now that I am temping and using OPK's, it keeps my busy each day doing something, working towards my goal of becoming a first time mommy.

hopeful, i'm glad you are feeling more in control with temping and opk. Alot of women cant handle it as it causes more stress, but i would go crazy without them!!!

jes, love it, "FU AF" thats pretty much what i do too!!!

DH and I try to do something that we won't be able to do (or do as easily) once we have a baby... go for a hike, go on a road trip, get a massage, head out to the lake, sleep in until noon, buy ourselves a treat... just something that we'll likely miss doing when we have a baby... it seems to help.

The most ironic thing always happens when AF arrives- we always seem to have plans with DH's cousin and her kids. It seems counter-intuitive, but it seems to help us both.
