Hi ladies! I usually post over in the Newlyweds board, but I've been married for 2 and a half years and TTC for 6 months, so this room might feel more appropriate for me right now. (Don't worry, Judy...I'll still pop in over there and say hi!)

A little bit about us:
My name is Katie (26) and Husbear is 27 and in his first year of medical school. We got married March 22, 2008, and just moved to WV from NYC so we're adjusting to a slower life...but I think this is a good thing for TTC! We've been trying since March- no luck yet, but I just know it will happen for us. We're young and healthy, we've just gotta keep at it and keep our chin up! This is the first time I've ever not been working...in NYC I was a nanny and a hairstylist, and here I just keep the house looking nice and make dinner, and I'm so in love with the peacefulness my life has now. I cut hair for some of the students occasionally, but mostly I get to spend my afternoon making pretty things for our house, and working on unpacking things.

As for my cycle, I'm on cd27 right now and waiting on AF, who will be here tomorrow or Thursday, I'm sure (I got 2 BFNs this week- one this morning on 12dpo and one on 10dpo). I'm usually quite regular with a 28 day average, varying only a day or two in each direction.
Until this month, I've been relying on o pains and timing and cm changes to tell me about my cycle, but we desperately want to get pregnant in September (it was our goal when we started in March!) so I think I'll start temping regularly.

Anyway, that's us! Looking forward to getting to know you girls. Baby dust to you all!

missy, LOL i'm stalking YOU too!

Hi Katie and WELCOME to our family!!! we are quite pleased to have you here, although I know that means that you have been ttc for awhile. I'm sorry for that!!! It should be easy, shouldn't it? I'm Lynda and I've just finished my first IVF cycle and hopefully my last. I"ve had 4 miscarriages. yes 4... this journey can be so difficult. All the women here really understand about tougher journies as most of us have been ttc for multiple years. I hope AF doesn't show for you and you just get a little bit later bfp!!! nice to have you here!!!

Welcome to the group! While most of us don't want to be here because it means we've been ttc too long, I know we all find incredible support here! Good luck to you and I hope you get your BFP this month!

Hi Katie!

I'm new here too. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since March as well. We've been married for three years. I'm on Day 27, and probably won't get AF till Monday. So far haven't seen a BFP. I really thought that by 6 months I'd be several months pregnant and getting ready to tell people. However, it hasn't happened yet. I haven't really told anyone we are TTC, so I am finding refuge in these boards, and the women here. Praying you won't be here long, and you get to graduate soon!

Ahhh, rats! Cramping and rumbly tummy = sure signs that AF is on her way. I just want her to get here already so we can be closer to starting Lucky Cycle #7! We've got big plans for this cycle- Starting CD1, Husbear is going to "save" all his swimmers until the day it looks like we're approaching a positive OPK. The we'll bd every day until my temps clearly show I've O'd.
I'm also going to drink Raspberry leaf tea every night this cycle, and keep a very optimistic attitude! And I've never held my legs up after BD, but it couldn't hurt, so we're trying it! Haha. I don't care if we feel like we're in a sitcom...we're ready to be parents, so we'll be pullin' out all the stops.

Update: She's heeeeeeeeere... this calls for Midol and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream!

Hi Katie,

I'm fairly new here too. DH and I have been TTC for about two years. I have a little boy from a previous relationship, he's 5. DH, on the other hand, doesn't have any biological children. He just realized yesterday that his b-day is only two months away and he will be 34. When we started TTC we said we wanted two kids by the time I was 30 (I just turned 29 the beginning of August) and he was 35. Well, chances of that happening are getting slimmer by the day. I'm suppposed to take this month off (per my doctor), but I'm going to see how my legs feel (I hurt both my legs, severely). If they are not feeling too bad, and I can quit taking my medicine, we're going to try anyway. AF is here now, so my cycle is starting over. Good luck to you. Hopefully you get a BFP this month. I'll cross my fingers for ya!!
