I've heard the same thing about plastics. Our issue is MFI and from what I've read, overall sperm counts are decreasing from what they were 50 years ago (normal used to be 60 million/ml, now it's 20 million/ml) and many researchers think this is due to toxins in the environment etc. And I'm pretty sure DH does heat up the leftovers he takes for lunch right in the plastic container

....maybe I can get him to cut that out. At the same time, I doubt any of us on here are exposed to any more toxins than alot of our friends who have no trouble at all getting pregnant. Why would some people be affected adversely and other not?
I have another theory about why infertility in general is on the rise. I honestly think alot of forms of birth control cause more long-term issues than we know. The female body just isn't meant to go months without ovulating, and to have so many artificial hormones coursing through it. But then again, there are plenty of people who get pregnant really easily after going off the pill or having an IUD taken out. We've never used any form of birth control, but obviously infertility existed as far back as Biblical times and sometimes it's just old-fashioned bad luck.
It is sad that so many couples do have to deal with this. It's no wonder we all look beat up- it's one of the most stressful things a couple could go through, no matter what the cause
