Hi everyone,

It is so nice to find something like this website. I have been ttc for 7 months. I went for fertility testing and found out I had a big polyp in my uterus that they thought would keep an egg from being able to implant. I had it removed and started a cycle of clomid/iui last month. I got cysts from the clomid so started the gonal-f shots this month. I am really hoping this works soon. I am going to be 35 in a few months and everything I read keeps saying that it harder to conceive after 35. Any advise or thoughts would be great. Thanks

Welcome to JM! I have been ttc for over a year, so I understand where you are coming from. This is a great place to chat, get info., vent and support because it makes you realize that there are people around feeling exactly the same was you do. Good luck! Where are you in cycle?

Wow, it's amazing to come across a person who has had a similiar experience to my own. I had 2 polyps in my uterus which were removed back in August, 2004. I tried Clomid & had bad side effects from it, so I'm now on Femara, (I really like the Femara. (Should the Clomid not work after 4 cycles, esp. if you are getting cysts, I suggest asking your Dr. to switch you to Femara). I understand your fear of becoming 35, I am going on 34 in July & am so worried about not being able to conceive by then (I really want 2 children if possible). It is true that ttc after 35 presents real challenges, but you do have a chance, don't give up! After all, you have only been trying 7 months, it takes the average healthy couple 8 months to 1 year to concieve. Have you been to a specialist yet? I see an RE & have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, been ttc for 27 months now. I have had one IUI which failed & it almost broke me. If I can continue trying after all this time, you should look at me & see that you need to persevere even though your age is a factor. I hope your dream of motherhood comes true soon, but don't ever give up on having a child.

Sincerely,
Hope
