Hi girls,

Wanted to give you an update as to how the appointment went. So I just met with the nurse practitioner today and she asked all kinds of questions for the medical history for me and DH. I got a weight (yikes!) and blood pressure taken as well as DH. They did do an ultrasound on me today. I also brought in my calendars from temping and the nurse practitioner said that it looks like I'm ovulating late. She said we may be conceiving but that the luteal phase may not be long enough for my body to do what it is supposed to do and implant that egg. Since I'm on day 19 today I'm going back on Monday to have blood work drawn. They are going to schedule me for that x-ray test with the dye to make sure everything is all clear and DH is going to have a SA done. After my tests are run we will sit down with the doctor and come up with a treatment plan and go from there. All in all I'm happy...it went well. I'm just bummed that because I'm so far into this cycle that I will still be doing testing into next cycle...

I also asked about exercising and she said it was perfectly fine so I am going to continue.....

good deal. I had the hsg (dye test) and it was no biggie. it's nice to get some testing just to rule things out. sounds like a great appt.

just an FYI, I ovulate late too. you just have to make sure your luteal phase is at least 11 days long. anything 10 and under is a problem. they just put me on progesterone supplements when my luteal phase was too short and it helped.

That sounds like a good start! I know it seems that testing is going to eat at your next cycle but in the end, you can generally still ttc (the hsg is done before you O) and you'll be on your way to getting answers!

My progesterone level came back good I definitely ovulated last week sometime!! Hope I covered all my bases!!

Yay for a good progesterone level! I hope this is your cycle and you won't have to worry about the testing down the road. At least, if you do, it's all in place and you'll have a plan of attack!
