Aww, thanks for stalking me! LOL. We were right on track to get insurance going this month, but we got side tracked when our car died. We had to take care of that and the extra cash in DH's paychecks (the money that would be taken out for insurance) was nice to have for the past 2 weeks. We just picked up our new car tonight and DH's boss is getting a call from me tomorrow! We have all the money set aside for the IUI and are ready to go! DH's boss said there may be a loophole (I guess she's good at finding those) where our IUI may be covered, but if not, I don't care about paying out of pocket. Just hurry up lady! This has been dragging on LONG enough! LOL

Cris ~
What kind of meds or protocol do you think you'll be doing for your IUI ?? Is it pretty much the same as the one you did before? Mine is suppose to be Femara 2.5mg CD3-7, then u/s on CD11, trigger with HCg & I'll use Prometrium 200mg once a day ... there are so many variations. I feel like I'm the one telling my RE what I want to do !! They should be paying me instead !!

I think it's good that you're so proactive on what you want to do. It's your body! I have had a big say on what is going on with us and I'm happy that I have! And yes, it would totally rock if we were able to get paid for that! LOL

Lets see, I have done 3 cycles with MA-
1- 50mg Clomid with u/s monitoring and Hcg trigger. Timed BDing
2- 100mg Clomid with u/s monitoring and Hcg trigger and IUI.
3- 150mg Clomid with u/s monitoring and Hcg trigger and IUI (BFP cycle).

I don't have any sort of issues Ovulating, and all my levels are where they should be when they should be. I responded really well to the Clomid on all 3 doses. I had at least 2 huge mature follies everytime and I O'ed after the trigger just like I was supposed to.

When we get back into it, we've decided to go with the 150mg Clomid and IUI since it worked last time, and pray that it works and the baby sticks. My Dr said that it was that or do the follistim like you. We're going to do one more IUI with the Clomid then move to Follistim after that. We're getting close to exhausting the IUI option (they'll only do a certain # of tries) so hopefully it will only take one more try!

Hopefully we can be IUI buddies and then BFP buddies!

Thanks for sharing you info re: your IUI cycles... I think you have a GREAT plan in place & Im going to keep lots of sticky dust saved up for you so that it'll work on your first try Remind me again, when do you think you'll be set to do it, sometime in November ?? How many u/s did you end up having before you triggered? And does your DH have any factors? Sorry for all the ?'s ... I may try to do our 1st one in Dec (Nov. is out for sure) but not completely sold on the idea quite yet due to holidays & lots of visitors coming.

Aww, thanks for being so sweet and saving up sticky dust! I pray that I'll need it soon! And please, don't worry about questions! I don't mind at all, and I'd rather you ask away. I was in your shoes a while ago and I know I appreciated any info/advice that I could get! So, please don't worry! I apologize for not getting back to you until now. I've been away from the computer for a few days and it's been a nice break!

As far as when I can do my next IUI depends on a few things: 1- when our insurance gets finalized and 2- How my cycle falls. It's looking like later November at this point if we need it.

Each time we did a MA cycle, I only needed 1 u/s. I did the Clomid from CD5-9 & u/s generally on CD 12-15 depending on my dosage of clomid. The higher the dosage, the earlier the u/s. Each time, my follies were all perfectly sized and ready to "pop" as my u/s tech said. So, they would give me the hcg trigger right after the u/s while I was still at the Dr's.

DH does not have any factors. We are both apparently as healthy as can be (reproductively speaking) and are categorized in that lovely "unexplained infertility" category.

I hope that you won't need to do IUI, but if you do, make sure that you'll have a few days to lay low around your possible IUI day especially if it's near the holidays. My Dr said that it wasn't necessary, but I really think it helped. I tried to take naps daily and just chill without stress. I also wouldn't want your holidays ruined if it didn't work out. It's a tough decision- and one I may be facing as well. THe holidays are always a crazy stressful time, but when you're adding TTC w/MA to that, and all the emotions that go along, it can be super crazy!

Like I said before, if you have any more questions or whatever, please ask away! I'm happy to offer any knowledge that I can! I've been around here and ttc for long enough, I've acquired quite a bit of ttc know-how!
