Hello to all! I am new here so i figured i would introduce myself. I have been TTC for a year now and I have PCOS. I was on Clomid and Metphormin for 7 months and I just had a LAP (laparoscopy) done on the 12th of this month. I am currently back on clomid and metphormin. I can move on to injectables but there is one delima. I am in north dakota and the closest specialist is in Minnesota.

With being in the military it makes it hard to be able to just go to appointments when i need or want to. Very hard. So, i know my job isn't going to let me go to Minnesota a few times a month plus that is a long drive. I don't know what i am going to do now. But, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to JM. I am also on metformin (2000mg) for PCOS, but I haven't been on clomid yet. I hope you get your BFP soon.

WELCOME!!! I'm in Montana and completely and totally understand the problem with having no specialists around. (Actually, it's hard to find even a good doc!) I was only treated intermittently for my PCOS and never by a specialist (not an option, like you). The docs worked out something, though. Have you asked your doc if you can be managed from your base? Maybe you'll have to make one trip to MN, but after that your regular doc may be able to help. I don't really know, but I've seen this arrangement work for lots of other things! I'd talk to your doc (or another who might have more experience in this area) about this possibility.

Again, welcome and good luck!!!
