no no ladies, they have to use IVF with a donor egg. 70 year old eggs will not produce a baby! hehehehehehe

Well ok then. I think it's selfish. By the time that baby is 20 they'll be 90. The "fun" times between parents and baby will be limited. How many 70 year olds can crawl around in the floor endlessly with a 5 year old on their back? And while I acknowledge that we could all go at anytime, a 70 year old's probability of dying in their sleep is much more than that of 20-30-40 year olds....

Ok. well that changes things (a little bit). LOL... I'm surprised they even found a Dr to do IVF? I wonder if these people just wanted to go for their 15 minutes of fame or something. I wonder what kind of a toll the pregnancy will take on the woman's body!!! That can't be good!
I feel bad for the child mostly. Like Stephenie mentioned, they are likely going to spend most of their life without their parents. And of the time they will spend together, how much of it will be quality- like playing on the floor, or running outside. I know that all 70 year olds aren't in wheelchairs, but their bodies aren't young either.

This is a great topic!
So what do you think about women in their 40's? HONEST Answers please!
If I got pregnant now, I would be 42 at delivery, meaning 60+ at high school graduation. Too old? I seem to be an interesting topic of conversation with my family, LOL.

I wouldn't want to do it, personally, but I respect that you do! 60 at high school graduation isn't as bad as 90! And at 40 you can still play with your baby!!

missy 40 is alot different than 70!!!
I know LOTS of ladies that had "oops" in their 40s because they thought there were no longer fertile. they are GREAT moms and I think it's great! You know I feel that way. My father's neighbor had her last daughter at 42 and her husband was 51 at the time. They too, are great parents!'
Missy you go for it girl, and i'll be right here to share the joy with you!

40 is definitely way different than 70! I always say that age is just a number and I firmly believe that (except when you're 70 and pregnant lol). My Aunt had her 1st child at 40-something and her 2nd at 50-something.

I never thought I would be TTC at 41 either.... I always thought that women over 35 were too old, boy did my mindset change
Ok, CD3 here... Here goes 1 last month of trying.

eww I think that's really selfish and irresponsible. Same thing that Stephenie said. Also I bet they went offshore (India maybe?) to do the procedure because I don't think any North American doc can get away with that and still keep their license.
