For all of you who are taking Prometrium, at what DPO do you stop taking it?

I'm at 14 DPO now and got a BFN today My OB said to take it, test at 17 DPO. If I get a BFN at 17 DPO, take it for another 17 days and test again. If still BFN, stop taking it and let AF come. That doesn't sound right to me. That would make me 34 DPO before I let AF come! That seems like way too long to me.

I took until AF arrives, or once the blood work comes back negative, per my doctor.
